Parent Training and Roles
All Scout parents are required to take Youth Protection Training (YPT)
Our program follows YPT and parents need to know and follow YPT requirements when/if they attend a Troop function.
Adult Training Update
All training is now through the new http://my.scouting.org website. Please create an account if you haven't done so yet. You're BSA ID (if you're a registered adult leader) should be part of your Troopmaster record. Let me know if you need help finding it. Otherwise, you don't need to have a BSA ID to take the training.
Merit Badge Counselor (MBC) training is now online!! You don't need to attend a live class for this anymore. Please complete this and then sign up to be an MBC and help out the Troop. There are over 100 merit badges and we don't have counselors for every badge. Here's a powerpoint which is the core of the training.
Hanford's safe driving course - There's a great defensive driving course offered through the BSA. It's not required, but it's about a 30 minute video with 15 questions afterwards. If you're a Troop driver (which I hope you are), please consider taking this defensive driving course. Thank you.
