The 2023 Weekend Mixed Doubles League will be starting this Saturday, May 27th from 9am to 11pm. This event marks the kick off for the 2023 season so let's hope the weather co-operates. To insure that we have new balls every weekend anyone who wants to play in this league will have to bring 2 new cans of balls or $10 on their first day of play.
We would like to welcome new members Lisa Doke, Dheeraj and Irene Busawon. Lisa is looking forward to improving her tennis after a long lay off. We will see what we can do but no guarantees. Dhee and Irene are enrolled in adult lessons so we hope they will join us before their lessons are over.
This year you will not be contacted to play and you are not required to inform me prior to the weekend if you want to play. As long as you show up at the courts before 9 you will be playing. If we have even numbers for doubles that would be ideal but if we don't we will have to go to plan B which I hope everybody will find interesting and challenging.
Recording your scores will be voluntary except for Mike, Wilf, Keith, Peter, Peter, Richard, David R, Robbi, Andrew, Alexander and Ted. The benchmark will be Ted. Ted may be the most ancient player but he is still the 2022 Sree Memorial Champ. All the players finishing below Ted this year won't be invited to this league next year. If you want to keep track of your progress you will have to let Mike know so he can record your scores.
You have to be a paid up member to play so we can collect your membership money on the 27th or you can e-transfer to sacta-treasurer@gmail.com
To join the league you have to bring 2 cans of balls or $10.

Only current 2023 SACTA members ($60 for a family or $40 for individuals) are eligible to play. E-transfer your membership dues to Mark Clark: sacta.treasurer@gmail.com, or we will accept cash or a cheque.
To insure that we have new balls every weekend anyone who wants to play in this league will have to bring 2 new cans of balls or $10 on their first day of play.
This year we won't be contacting anybody. If you want to play just show up at the court before 9 am and we will have a random draw for teams from those present.
