2023 Masters Tournament Report - Aug 4-6
The 15th annual Tennis NB Masters tournament was played this weekend (Aug 5th and 6th). 47 players completed 41 matches. The level of tennis was high and there were many exciting matches. 8 local players were winners in various age categories. Despite a dismal weather forecast the matches were played in warm and sunny conditions on Sat. and Sun. Planned matches for Friday evening were washed out but skillful scheduling by Mark Thibault (Tennis NB) ensured all matches were completed by mid afternoon on Sunday.
Many thanks to all who helped make this year's tournament a great success, especially to Mark, Richard, Wilf, Keith, David, Sally, Mary and Jenni who put up the big canopy on Thursday evening. We always get a lot of good comments about it - great for shade and to shelter from rain.
As usual Wilf was an excellent BBQ chef and the salmon was cooked to perfection.
