PhD, Principal Investigator
Seth is an evolutionary ecologist and evolutionary geneticist who wants to predict rapid evolution and it's demographic effects. He joined WSU as Assistant Professor in the School of Biological Sciences in 2021. Seth received his undergraduate degree at the University of Rochester. His PhD at the University of British Columbia with Dolph Schluter was focused on the ecological consequences of rapid evolution in threespine stickleback. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Pennsylvania with Paul Schmidt and was briefly a Banting Postdoctoral fellow with John Fryxell at the University of Guelph.
Seth’s favorite type of science is large manipulative experiments. Outside of work he cooks, skis, hikes, but mostly spends time with his family.
