BS, BA, Postbaccalaureate Researcher
Bianca has been a post-bac research technician in the Rudman lab since Summer 2023. She is interested in the molecular mechanisms of evolution. She is working to establish a calanoid copepod model system in lab to study eco-evolutionary dynamics. She is also leading an experiment to disentangle the effects of normal seasonal change and extreme weather events on adaptation. She completed a BS in Biology and a BA in Psychology at the University of Chicago in 2023. She completed an undergraduate thesis in the Heckscher Lab where she studied evolution and development of Dipteran motor systems. Before that, she worked at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History where she studied mollusk diversity with Daniel Geiger and lead community education programs.
In her free time, Bianca likes hiking, trying new recipes, tide pooling, and attending live music events.
