Cris is a Belizean national currently studying at WSU-V. He has completed 2 associate degrees; one in Science with concentrations in Biology and Natural Resource Management and one in Science in Veterinary Technician. Cris's work in the lab is focused on evolutionary genetics and is centered around predicting population dynamics in response to environmental change. He conducts experiments dealing with evolutionary and genetic rescue. His ultimate goal is to become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Cris hopes to expand his knowledge in evolutionary genetics to propel his career forward and apply this to a multitude of different areas in animal health.
Apart from academics and research, Cris enjoys hiking, chess, planting, and caring for animals.
