Lana joined the Rudman Lab as a master’s student in June 2025. She is currently investigating how extreme climate events influence seasonal adaptive tracking. More broadly, she is interested in the biotic and abiotic factors that shape community resiliency in the face of environmental change.
Before her time at WSU, Lana earned her B.S. in Biology from Oklahoma State University. There, she led a research project under the guidance of Antonio Castilla, exploring the role of species networks in providing adaptive potential to endemic populations.
In her free time, Lana enjoys hiking, rock climbing, and spending time with friends.
