WSU-V is a beautiful small enrollment campus in the Portland, OR metro. Our lab has access to great research spaces including a custom built outdoor experimental facility, greenhouse bays, vivarium space, and a new (in 2024) lab and office space.
Graduate Students (Recruiting for Fall 2025)
Graduate students are admitted through the Natural Sciences Graduate Program at WSU Vancouver, and can earn M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Biology.
Prospective graduate students with interest in evolutionary genetics, evolutionary ecology, or population genetics are encouraged to email (seth.rudman@wsu.edu) with a brief statement of interest and a CV. The program application deadline is January 10th for Fall start dates.
Undergraduate Students
We often have paid positions available for folks who are available, comfortable learning to work independently, and motivated. Folks who are potentially interested should contact Seth with a CV/resume and a short statement describing why you're interested in conducting research - it's ok if it's to prep for medical/vet/professional school!
Postdoc and postbacc positions
The lab is always looking to hire exceptional candidates for postdoc or postbacc positions. Funding for short term support (e.g., 1yr) is available if candidates have a strong interest and are enthusiastic about working together to secure external fellowship funding from federal agencies for longer term support.
