ELLIE ANDREWS

At the age of 19, Ellie completed her BS in Biology with a minor in Microbiology in 2024 at Washington State University - Vancouver. While here, she became involved in Dr. Rudman’s lab in October of 2022 and began working on lab projects in May of 2023. She is most interested in investigating how the microbiome affects hosts, specifically in the context of adapting to stressors. Ellie also completed a six week internship at her tribe’s hospital in Oklahoma where she was able to shadow doctors and work with patients in the summer of 2024. Ellie’s goal is to become a doctor that can treat patients using what we know about the microbiome.

Ellie enjoys hiking, camping, martial arts, and spending time with friends and family.
