PCS AIR TRAVEL

As part of your PCS check-out with your detaching command, the ship's office will submit a Passenger Reservation Request (PRR) to PSD.

A majority of members (CONUS) will execute PCS travel via AMC flight (the "rotator" or "Patriot Express") from Norfolk to Rota. Commercial flights may be scheduled to transport member/dependents from current PDS to Norfolk.

If traveling by commercial flight, passengers will fly into Jerez (airport code XRY) which is about 25 miles from Naval Station Rota.

Members will typically receive confirmed notification of travel date ahead of time, but may not receive a detailed itinerary from SATO/CTO until several days before the travel date.
