Read through your PCS orders in its entirety.
Request and make contact with a ship sponsor.
Spouses may visit the Ombudsman page for spouse and family support.
Complete Overseas Screening (within 30 days for members, within 60 days for dependents)
Financially prepare for significant up-front OCONUS PCS related costs - reimbursement will not be immediate. Request advance payment of DLA, TLA, or other PCS allowances, if necessary.
Apply for dependent no-fee passport(s). Member/dependent tourist passports are required for leisure travel outside of Spain, otherwise optional.
Members with accompanying dependents, reserve hotel lodging (ship sponsor or spouse sponsor can do this for you also).
