Dear Kindergarten Families,

We are so sad we will not be seeing you for the next few weeks. We are thinking about you during this difficult time and wanted to give you a fun activity to do with your kids. SHABBAT SCAVENGER HUNT

Please take a moment to figure out these riddles and collect the items, talk with your children about their family history and where they came from, yours and their favorite Shabbat rituals and how lucky we are that this holiday brings our family together every week. We hope that now you have these items at hand you will choose to use them this Friday night and let the light of the Shabbat candles brighten these week times!!!!

  1. I am long and cylindrical and you can light me.

  2. I come in many shapes and sizes usually I am a pair; the long cylindrical things go inside me.

  3. I am something that goes on your head when you are preforming the rituals.

  4. I am something you use every day but the one on Friday night is different and special.

  5. I can be either purple or clear and I come from the fruit of the vine.

  6. I am flat and you can cut on me, I am a home for a very special kind of bread.

  7. I have braids but I am not hair, I am yummy and I make the house smell delicious when cooked in the oven.

  8. I am a blanket that hides the challah so it doesn’t feel bad it goes last in the prayers.

  9. I am yummy, delicious and nutritious; you eat me while you are sitting at your Shabbat dinner table.

  10. I am all the people that I love and that all the people that love me relaxing and enjoying a wonderful Shabbat.
