Hi Everyone,

We really miss seeing your smiling faces! Next week is Passover and we have a lesson and craft for you to do, plus a story below!


Let’s make a seder plate.

Color and cut out the pieces below and place them on a paper plate to make your seder plate.

On The Seder Plate we have the following :


1)The Bitter Herb- represents the pain of the enslaved Jewish People.

2)The Hard Boiled Egg - represents the spring season/renewal.

3)Karpas - parsley is dipped in salt water represents the tears of the Jewish people enslaved in Egypt.

4) Maror- horseradish represents the pain of the Jewish people being enslaved in Egypt.

5) Charoset - an apple, nut and wine mixture that represents the mortar which was used to hold the bricks together.

6)The Shank Bone - represents sacrifices made by the Jewish people.

?מַה נִּשְׁתַּנָּה הַלַּיְלָה הַזֶּה מִכָּל הַלֵּילוֹת

Ma nishtanah halailah hazeh mikol haleilot?

Why is this night different from all other nights?

1st Question:

.שֶׁבְּכָל הַלֵּילוֹת אָנוּ אוֹכְלִין חָמֵץ וּמַצָּה, הַלַּיְלָה הַזֶּה – כֻּלּוֹ מַצָּה

Shebchol haleilot anu okhlin hametz umatzah; halailah hazeh, kuloh matzah.

On all other nights we eat leavened products and matzah, and on this night only matzah.

2nd Question:

.שֶׁבְּכָל הַלֵּילוֹת אָנוּ אוֹכְלִין שְׁאָר יְרָקוֹת – הַלַּיְלָה הַזֶּה (כֻּלּוֹ) מָרוֹר

Shebchol haleilot anu okhlin sh’ar y’rakot; halailah hazeh, maror.

On all other nights we eat all vegetables, and on this night only bitter herbs.

3rd Question:

.שֶׁבְּכָל הַלֵּילוֹת אֵין אָנוּ מַטְבִּילִין אֲפִילוּ פַּעַם אֶחָת – הַלַּיְלָה הַזֶּה שְׁתֵּי פְעָמִים

Shebkhol haleilot ein anu matbilin afilu pa’am ehat; halailah hazeh, shtei f’amim.

On all other nights, we don’t dip our food even once, and on this night we dip twice.

4th Question:

.שֶׁבְּכָל הַלֵּילוֹת אָנוּ אוֹכְלִין בֵּין יוֹשְׁבִין וּבֵין מְסֻבִּין – הַלַּיְלָה הַזֶּה כֻּלָּנוּ מְסֻבִּין

Shebchol haleilot anu okhlin bein yoshvin uvein m’subin; halailah hazeh, kulanu m’subin.

On all other nights we eat sitting or reclining, and on this night we only recline.
