Susan H Hebrew Lesson 3/24

Hello Dear Hay Hebrew Students!

I hope that you’ve had a good week. No doubt, it’s been (more than a little) strange!

I trust that you took a look at everything I sent last week…but it’s easy to access and re-do (or finish) anything you didn’t get to then by revisiting the tab from last week’s class.

Let me know what links you liked best, what activities you did, what you’d like to see more of – and what you’ve been doing (in terms of Hebrew class and your new life-at-home).

Email me at: tsbhicks@gmail.com

If you’d like to: call, FaceTime or text – let me know and we can make plans.

By now, I trust that you’ve heard that our ShinShinim have had to return to Israel. I know how much you loved working with Ori after Breira every other week…so I will be happy to send any messages you want to share with him.

[How fortunate we are to live in these times where (through technology) we can be in touch – despite the thousands of miles between us.]

Some things you might want to share with Ori can be:

  • Thanking him for a particular lesson; telling him what you remember about it.

  • Recalling a time with him - or something he said - that was special to you.

  • Do you have any questions for him?

I will forward your thoughts to Ori as I receive them.

Drawing on last week’s lesson, here’s another video that you can watch to warm up.

(Clearly, the Hebrew that we’ll be working on will continue to be The Four Questions.)

First – there was Jeopardy.

Then – there was Jeopardy, The Shabbat School Edition. (Should it be called: JEWpardy?)

Today, I present: HebREWpardy, The Pesach Part (okay, it’s a reach & somewhat silly…)

Your job…(some people think that this is the tricky part)…write the transliterations for the words in the chart provided.

You have a choice to make. Do either:

  • words (of your choice) to total a score of 2500

- or -

  • as many words as you can for the highest score possible

That’s all – for now – but stay tuned…and be in touch!

Lots of love to you – and your families,

Morah Susan
