Personality Development

(Ethics, Good Manners, Right Conducts)

This course focuses on Good Manners and Right Conduct, excellent attitudes and character development of the students. Students will learn ethics, morals and values in their lives. The course includes counselling sessions and trauma healing.

SOWH

(School of Workers for Harvest)

This course will help students to journey in their faith through the HEAR and OBEY principle. They will experience the truth of the Word of God and will have the opportunity to respond to the call of God to share the Truth and lead others to grow in the Truth.

Objectives:

• Understand the principles of HEAR and OBEY

• Develop the journey of faith

• To know and carry out the great commission

Kachin Identity: Culture and Community

(9 topics)

This course will develop in the students the sense of honour and identity as a Kachin as they discover the inherent beauty and dignity of the Kachin nation. The students will stand for loyalty and preservation of the good traditions of the Kachin tribe which are worth passing on to the next generation.

Objectives:

• Identify the Kachin ways of life

• Explain the context of the Kachin

• Carry out the good examples of Kachin way of thinking and philosophy

Purpose, Potential, Vision and Leadership

(PPVL)

This course will prepare the students to see what God prepared them for. The students will discover ways to live life with meaning by defining and developing their potentials, talents, abilities and gifting to be used to fulfil God’s purpose for their lives.

Objectives:

• Develop purpose driven lives

• To know God’s divine vision

• Apply leadership in everyday

Christian Leadership

(Spiritual Leadership)

This course will guide the students to grow spiritually and build a healthy base to strengthen their leadership capacity. They will explore and understand how the proper nurturing of the five Domains of Leadership, which will enable them to be effective leaders, to themselves, to their peers and team and to society. The course is designed mainly to develop the character and skills of the learners in accordance with the scripture.

Objectives:

• Grasp the idea of Christian leadership skills and character

• Imitate Jesus as a leader

• Develop passion to lead and to serve

Awmdawm Spiritual Formation

(KBC-YD Youth Spirituality handbook)

This course will lead the students from the Kachin Baptist to carry the legacy and faith of their forefathers, to be faithful to the Scripture and to live lives that are pleasing and bringing honour to God. The core purpose of the course is to train the youths to incarnate "Christ-like character and spiritual maturity" in their own lives.

Objectives:

• To be more like Christ

• To practice the contextual Kachin’s concept of leadership

• To carry the legacy and faith of Kachin forefathers
