Ramprat Shanan Education and Leadership Program

Brief History of the Program

The program was initiated as a Ramprat Shanan Leadership Training since year 2000. It was upgraded in 2017 as Ramprat Shanan Education and Leadership Program (RSELP) as an 8-months teaching and learning program. The program included subjects like Civic Education, Leadership Skills, Research Methodology, Environmental Care, Politics, Kachin Cultural Heritage, Communication Skills, Applied Psychology and English Language Skills. The curriculum was constructed from biblical value-based perspective. This program builds partnerships with educational schools and educational organizations nationally and internationally. The core intention of RSELP is to promote education and strengthen the leadership capacity of the youth and enable them to participate in creating peaceful and prosperous society.

School of Leadership

As the program is started the path of leadership training program, and from the beginning of year 2020, RSELP started to carry on the visions of the senior youth leaders of Youth Department and integrated the program as School of Leadership. All the program of RSELP serves to produce today’s young leaders and prepare the lives of the youths for their future.

The RSELP leadership courses can be described in three Major categories; English Skills, Leadership Skills and Professional Skills. Minor compulsory courses and other extra curriculum studies and activities are also included for a better learning space. English will be the Medium of Instruction. Jinghpaw and Burmese will be used as required.

A six-month long intensive program of learning process will be conducted in three consecutive terms in this academic year 2021. Each separate term will take two consecutive months with an average of 170 teaching hours.

All subjects or courses will be conducted by well-trained local teachers and ministers from our international partners.
