Aderius Rhenar, a member of the Quellious cleric guild in Erudin was captured and held prisoner by the kobolds infesting the The Warrens. While there, his cellmates who are several members of a race called The Kejeken, impress Aderius with their intelligence and wit. On various hunting trips to the Warrens, High Scholar Ruhyk came across Aderius and eventually earned his trust to deliver a note to Leraena Shelyrak at the temple. The note shocked Leraena and caused her to alert the High Council of Erudin to take action. An opportunity to have a new ally in the war against both the Kolbok dogs and the heretics of Paineel could not be allowed to slip away without investigation.
As a result Malik Zaren, a supreme leader of the High Council came to meet with Leraena to discuss what could be done.
[ Go see Malik in Erudin ]
A visit to Malik in Erudin resulted in a request to assist in setting up a mail route with the Kejekens in Stonebrunt Mountains! Not sure where to start, a visit to the Windspirits in South Qeynos seemed in order. Jusean Evanesque was interested, but concerned over trying to recruit a courier for such a dangerous route. He was still distraught over the fate of his brother Korvik, who was attacked by a night creature, and now mindlessly wandered the Karanas.
While Jusean considered what could be done, a group set off to find the Fangbreakers in North Karana, the foremost authority on lycanthropy. Most of the Fangbreakers thought there was no hope, but Nul Aleswiller offered the possibility of a cure! He sent the group off to find 4 specific items, cautioning about the dangers of hunting werewolves.
[ Items are Bloody Werewolf Fang, Patch of Werewolf Fur, Werewolf Tongue, Lupine Runed Armband ]
The group headed off to West Karana to visit the Millers farm, as there had been reports of seeing a werewolf in the field. The reports proved correct, luckily the group prevailed without getting infected themselves. Once the 4 specific items were obtained, the group headed back to North Karana to see Nul. With the help of the other Fangbreakers, Nul imbued the armband with the cure and sent the group off to find Korvik.
It took some time to locate Korvik, whose disease had progressed to the point he attacked anyone on sight! From a distance the group used the cure Nul had provided and waited anxiously. After a few moments a change came over Korvik who seemed confused at first and then delighted. Shouting 'I am CURED" he ran off to find his family.
Congratulations to Mezmer, Echo, Bixer, and Zelina for solving the quest and curing Korvik!
Brave adventurers may still collect the items and turn them into Nul Aleswiller for their very own Lupine Runed Armband of Curing.
