You say, 'Hail, Ulraz S`Lon'
Ulraz S`Lon says 'So you are the next pathetic maggot I have the displeasure of training to be a useful Shadowknight of the Lodge of the Dead. First you must get yourself outfitted in a suit of [armor], those rags you wear can not even contain the stench of your miserable hide and will do no good protecting it from the edge of an enemies blade. '
You say, 'What armor?'
Ulraz S`Lon says 'Seek Krivn S'Tai in the Commoner quarter of Neriak and give him this request parchment. Krivn S'Tai has been paid in advance by the Lodge of the Dead for the requested service. Simply give him the request parchment and he will instruct you further. When you have outfitted yourself in a suit of armor return to the Lodge of the Dead and I will grant you [another task].'
Take the Parchment he gives you to Krivn S`Tai in the Blue Flame in Neriak Commons (65, -885, -40, he is listed on find as an armor merchant).
When you hand him the note:
Krivn S`Tai says 'So you are one of Ulraz's new recruits. You are to assist in the construction of the armor you will don as a new Shadowknight of the Lodge of the Dead. I have assembled a kit that is used in the crafting of Bone Mail. You must travel beyond Neriak into the Nektulos Forest for the [materials] that compose the armor.'
You receive an 8-slot container called a Mail Assembly Kit.
You say, 'What materials?'
Krivn S`Tai says 'Many species of dangerous creatures and even the walking remains of the dead inhabit the Nektulos Forest. You must defeat these creatures and undead in order to obtain the materials. The materials you seek depend on the piece of armor you desire. Do you desire to craft [gloves], [boots], a [bracer], a [coif], [leggings], [sleeves], or a [tunic]?'
You say, 'Where does silk thread come from?'
Krivn S`Tai says 'Silk Thread is sewn by a tailor using a [sewing kit] or a community [loom]. Two spiderling silks combined in the sewing kit or loom will create one silk thread.'
You say, 'What is a sewing kit?'
Krivn S`Tai says 'A sewing kit may be purchased at the Furrier Royale in Neriaks Third Quarter or at the Silk Underground in Neriaks Foreign Quarter. A community loom may be found at the Silk Underground in Neriaks Foreign Quarter.'
You say, 'And where would I find a loom?'
Krivn S`Tai says 'A sewing kit may be purchased at the Furrier Royale in Neriaks Third Quarter or at the Silk Underground in Neriaks Foreign Quarter. A community loom may be found at the Silk Underground in Neriaks Foreign Quarter.'
You say, 'Tell me about the boots'
Krivn S`Tai says 'To craft Bone Mail Boots you require two [silk thread], two ruined wolf pelts, and two calcified foot bones. Once you have the necessary components combine them in your Bone Mail Kit with this Tattered Boot Pattern.'
You receive a Tattered Boot Pattern.
You say, 'Tell me about the bracer'
Krivn S`Tai says 'To craft a Bone Mail Bracer you require a [silk thread], a ruined wolf pelt, and a calcified ulna bone. Once you have the necessary components combine them in your Bone Mail Kit with this Tattered Bracer Pattern.'
You receive a Tattered Wristband Pattern.
You say, 'Tell me about the gloves'
Krivn S`Tai says 'To craft Bone Mail Gloves you require two [silk thread], a ruined wolf pelt, and two calcified finger bones. Once you have the necessary components combine them in your Bone Mail Kit with this Tattered Glove Pattern.'
You receive a Tattered Glove Pattern.
You say, 'Tell me about the coif.'
Krivn S`Tai says 'To craft a Bone Mail Coif you require two [silk thread], a ruined wolf pelt, and a calcified skull. Once you have the necessary components combine them in your Bone Mail Kit with this Tattered Cap Pattern.'
You receive a Tattered Cap Pattern.
You say, 'Tell me about the leggings'
Krivn S`Tai says 'To craft Bone Mail Leggings you require three [silk thread], a low quality wolf pelt, two calcified tibia, and a calcified pelvis. Once you have the necessary components combine them in your Bone Mail Kit with this Tattered Leggings Pattern. '
You receive a Tattered Leggings Pattern.
You say, 'Tell me about the sleeves'
Krivn S`Tai says 'To craft Bone Mail Sleeves you require two [silk thread], a low quality wolf pelt, and two calcified humerus bones. Once you have the necessary components combine them in your Bone Mail Kit with this Tattered Sleeves Pattern. '
You receive a Tattered Sleeve Pattern.
You say, 'Tell me about the tunic'
Krivn S`Tai says 'To craft a Bone Mail Tunic you require four [silk thread], a medium quality wolf skin, a calcified sternum, and a calcified ribcage. Once you have the necessary components combine them in your Bone Mail Kit with this Tattered Tunic Pattern.'
You receive a Tattered Tunic Pattern.
You say, 'Another task?'
Ulraz S`Lon says 'Ah, you are eager to advance further within the Lodge of the Dead. Although it is my duty to aid your training, do not allow your arrogance to blind you to your lowly position amongst the Queens most loyal subjects. Your next task is to assist the construction of a [weapon] and [shield] worthy of being wielded by a Shadowknight of the Lodge of the Dead.'
You say, 'What shield?'
Ulraz S`Lon says 'The bones of the dead that dig from their graves at the [Ultricle] in the Nektulos Forest have been strengthened by the minerals and ashen soil. Return some of these walking dead to the rest they have abandoned and bring to me four Petrified Femurs.'
Off to Ultricle. In the end Petried Femurs dropped from "A Decaying Councilman." I had to kill 76 to get the 4 I needed. Back to Ulraz to hand them in:
Ulraz S`Lon fashions the petrified femurs into a shield frame. 'This will be the frame of your new shield. Return now again to the Nektulos Forest, in the gray ashen region of the forest near the Lavastorm mountains the basilisks often come down from the fiery peaks to lay their eggs in the ashen soil. Basilisk hatchlings can be found there as they make their way towards the warmer interior of the mountains. Hunt these basilisk hatchlings and gather two Basilisk Hatchling Skins. Once this is done take the skins and frame to Medron Y'Lask at the Furrier Royale.'
So off to the Ultricle again. 16 Basilisk Hatchlings later... I could not find a trigger phrase for him, so I just handed him my 2 Hatchling Skins and my Shield Frame. His shop "Furrier Royale" is in the small square directly opposite the gate entering Neriak - 3rd Gate.
Medron Y`Lask stretches and fastened the basilisk skins across the shield frame and attaches a leather strap and grip to the back of the shield.
'Here is your new shield young Shadowknight. I have been paid in advance by the Lodge of the Dead for the shields assembly. May Innoruuk strengthen you in your service to Her Majesty Queen Cristanos.'
You say, 'what weapon?'
Ulraz S`Lon says 'Beyond the mouth of Neriak lies the Nektulos Forest. There the walking dead can be found digging their way from the ashen soil of the [Ultricle], their flesh cured and hardened and bones strengthened from the minerals and volcanic ash in which they rested in death. Return some of these undead to the rest they have abandoned and bring to me some Leathered Zombie Flesh, a Petrified Humerus bone, and a Petrified Rib bone. '
[ Note this is different on Rolath than some servers. Ulraz completes this quest himself without the help of Opal ]
Ulraz S`Lon says 'Well, you're not completely useless, afterall.'
Ulraz S`Lon fashions the flesh, humorous, and rib into the likeness of a sword hilt
Ulraz S`Lon says 'This will be the hilt of your new sword. Take this rough blade and sharpen it in a [forge] using a [sharpening stone], it may take you several attempts if you are unfamiliar with the process. Once you have sharpened the blade, return it to me.'
You receive: Rough Sword Blade.
You say, 'what forge'
Ulraz S`Lon says, 'There is a forge near the Blue Flame Armory in the Neriak Commons and in the Ogre section of the Foreign Quarter. Sharpening stones can be purchased from vendors who deal in blacksmithing supplies.'
You say, 'what sharpening stone'
Ulraz S`Lon says, 'There is a forge near the Blue Flame Armory in the Neriak Commons and in the Ogre section of the Foreign Quarter. Sharpening stones can be purchased from vendors who deal in blacksmithing supplies.'
After successfully sharpening the blade and returning it to Ulraz:
Ulraz S`Lon says 'I'm surprised, I really am. I didn't think somebody like you could pull it off. Here, take this shard before I change my mind, I am keeping the sword for recruits more in need than yourself.'
