Head into the valley next to the Minotaur caves and kill harpies until you loot a "Harpies Eye".

In the newbie area around the druid ring, hunt mobs and kill drakelings as they spawn until you loot a Pristine Ebon Drakeling Scale. This is a rare drop.

Locate Clockwork Smith XIII and turn in the Rough Dark Reflection Staff, Harpy Eye, and Pristine Ebon Drakeling Scale to receive a Staff of Dark Reflections.

Clockwork SmithXIII fashions the ebon drakeling scales into a grip on the shaft of the staff, places the harpies eye within a metal fixture, fastens the fixture to the top of the staff and carves some delicate runes into the wood. 'click... wrrrr... a staff for you sir. Click... wrrr.' 

Clockwork SmithXIII puts the staff in a safe place and gives you a shard.
