Roger Wolfson has since retired from teaching in school but still helps people on many occasions to achieve their fitness and health goals. Nowadays, he has taken things a step further by releasing a series of blogs on how to be more fit and healthy by touching on several topics that include sets of exercises, proper nutritional development, safety measures while working out, and more.
For today's blog, Roger Wolfson tackles arguably the most common concern people have on their fitness journey – why they are not losing weight. Below are some of the possible answers to that question.
They’re not sticking to their diet.
Before going on a fitness journey, everyone has a good idea of what their diet ought to be, especially for people who are aiming for weight loss. But the thing is, they may exercise seven days a week, but when they get home, they don't adhere to their diet in the slightest. Many people try to justify their horrible diet by working out, but it just doesn't work that way. Weight loss (and weight gain, for that matter) is 30% exercise and 70% proper nutrition. And as Roger Wolfson has always emphasized in the past – nobody can exercise their way out of a bad diet.
They’re not eating enough.
This might seem counterintuitive, but Roger Wolfson says not eating enough is almost as bad as overeating when it comes to fitness. Overeating will mess with weight loss as much as eating too little. When people eat too little, their body lacks the energy to burn whatever needs to be burned. It also keeps the body from functioning the way it should when people work out.
