Mr. Lundahl Continues to Fail to Understand the Requirements of an Effective Debate

November 12, 2022
As shown on my website, I posted a series of essays (Henke 2022fn through Henke 2022gb) on September 23, 2022. These essays were in response to various comments in Lundahl (2022q).
Mr. Lundahl in Lundahl (2022w) responds to some of these September 23 essays. He begins Lundahl (2022w) by listing the titles of my essays and then flippantly complaining about how I have treated him and the nature of our debate:
The format was "essay" vs "essay" - and my definition of "essay" is not the Academic essay. See The Tatler and The Rambler.
Mr. Henke brought up the nieces himself. My comment is about the kind of mentorship he tried to pretend to over me. Which I hope he's not trying with his nieces.
Like lecturing me on what sources of information I can use, which is opposed to having a debate with me.”
Here, Mr. Lundahl fails to understand that he cannot successfully participate in any debate when his references aren’t any good (i.e., Kent Hovind as explained in Henke 2022bc), when he prefers to use Wikipedia and other easily clickable Internet sites rather than doing some legwork among the peer-reviewed science and history journals in a library (Henke 2022gq), when he won’t take a little time to write a decent bibliography (Henke 2022e; Henke 2022f), when he will not spell and communicate properly (e.g., Henke 2022i through Henke 2022s), and when he has no academic or professional standards (Henke 2022o). How can anyone have a productive debate with Mr. Lundahl when his references are unreliable and when he won’t or can’t look up any of my recommended peer-reviewed references so that we can discuss them? Mr. Lundahl is failing to meet the minimal requirements in this debate and, like any of my students, I have no problem telling him that his behavior is inappropriate and irresponsible. He wants to be a comedian rather than an instructor. There’s no place for that here. I know that he can do better than this and I’m asking him to do so. As for my nieces, they now live far away from me and I don’t need to mentor them anymore. They’re professionals.
