Lundahl (2022r) Continues to Take an Erroneous Approach to History
Kevin R. Henke

In Henke (2022at), I criticize Mr. Lundahl for not obtaining my recommended references and seeing what modern archeology really says about the Old Testament:
“Why does he often avoid them and prefer less reliable sources, such as Wikipedia articles or outdated 18th to 19th century religious books, such as the opinions of 18th century Bishop Richard Challoner? He lives in Paris and certainly he should be able to find a University or other library with science journals. Why does he trust ancient histories, Wikipedia and other websites, but not modern archeology? Why does he trust C.S. Lewis? Why does he blindly trust Kent Hovind, who has no legitimate training in science? Why doesn’t he use Strahler (1999) or other science textbooks for legitimate information on science and the scientific method instead?” [my emphasis]
Lundahl (2022r) further comments on this bolded sentence:
“Well, because our knowledge of the past depends more on ancient histories than on modern archaeology. And if I neither consider archaeology as superior to history or modern to ancient, why shouldn't I rely more on ancient histories than on modern archaeology? It's a preference I have already explained, and to some readers, if not Henke, justified.”
Certainly, archeologists may misinterpret their results and, in some rare cases, fabricate them. No one is perfect. However, as I stated before, the likely Will Tell (Henke 2022ek) and St. Philemon (Henke 2022es) myths demonstrate that people are often too willing to accept fictional stories as fact, and then record and promote them as fact. Mr. Lundahl is again failing to recognize that any written histories, whether ancient or modern, cannot be trusted at face value. They need to be supported by archeological or other external evidence. Our history needs to be confirmed and based on the quality, and not the quantity, of information (Henke 2022br2). Mr. Lundahl’s approach to history is all wrong (Henke 2022gc, Henke 2022dv and Henke 2022eu).
