Duration: A week or two (August 2020)
Motivation: I had just learned to code in Java in my APCSA course and I really liked it. I had also looked at a lot of projects on repl.it and one of the Python projects on the Bagels Deduction game really inspired me.
I wanted to make the game in Java, enable more game features (like displaying rules and allowing numbers of different length), and get the computer to play itself.
Outcomes: Implemented all the features listed above, except I eventually lost interest in getting the computer to play itself once I realized how complicated implementing that logic was.
Right now, the computer has enough sense to not repeat guesses and can handle a select few cases of fermi/pico combinations. But other than that, all the computer's guesses are basically random.
