Overview

About Prof. Dr. Raja

Dr. Raja Sankaran (PhD IIM-Ranchi) is an Associate Professor in Marketing Management at CMS Business School, Jain (Deemed-to-be University), Bengaluru, teaching Research Methodology and various subjects in Marketing Management, International Business, and Strategic Management. Earlier, he was an Assoc. Professor at ISME, Bengaluru and Alliance University, Bengaluru.

He has over 3 decades (32+ years) of industry experience and teaching experience. He has held management positions with multinational companies (MNCs such as CSC and NIIT) in service delivery roles before moving to academics. In CSC, he was posted in the UK in the role of Account Lead and General Manager. He has implemented three six-sigma projects, resulting in account savings and improved service delivery for National Grid, UK account. He has presented a case study on a 6-Sigma project in an international setup in CSC. He has conducted 100+ corporate training in enterprise management in 30+ countries worldwide (USA, Asia-Pacific, African countries), and was posted in Australia. He began his career with Hinditron & EMCO, marketing Automated Test Equipment manufactured worldwide.

Education:

PhD Thesis: His PhD thesis comprises the following 4 studies (including qualitative and quantitative methodology).

Research Papers: He has published research papers in ABDC journals, Marketing Intelligence & Planning (Emerald, ABDC - A ranking), International Journal of Bank Marketing (Emerald, ABDC-A ranking), International Journal of Knowledge and Learning (Inderscience, ABDC-ranking C) and IIM Kozhikode Society & Management Review( Taylor & Francis, ABDC-ranking C). He has been awarded "Best Research Paper-Winner" for the research paper presented at the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS) International Research Conference, Mumbai.
