We are pleased to announce that the GSLIS will offer a limited number of $1,000 academic scholarships for the Fall 2020 semester. The committee will consider the following factors during their review of applications:
1. Applicants’ completion of a minimum of 12 credits earned at the GSLIS excluding the current semester (Spring 2020) and a maximum of 24 credits.
2. Planned enrollment for at least six credit hours during the Fall 2020 semester.
3. Superior record of academic achievement.
4. A completed Application including a Personal Statement of 500 to 800 words that describes in detail your short term and long range professional goals upon completion of your program and a well articulated explanation of why you are qualified to receive a scholarship at this time.
Applications should be sent in one email submission with attachments (.doc, .docx or .pdf) to Dr. Shuheng Wu, Chair of the GSLIS Admissions, Academic Standing and Student Affairs Committee, at Shuheng.Wu@qc.cuny.edu and should include the following:
The completed APPLICATION FORM (see immediately below)
A Personal Statement (500-800 words)
A current unofficial student transcript
The deadline for applications is Thursday, April 16, 2020.
The Admissions, Academic Standing and Student Affairs Committee exercises the right to determine the number of scholarships awarded each year. Students may receive an H.W. Wilson Scholarship only once while in residence at the Graduate School of Library and Information Studies.
