LBSCI 773: Public Library Services for Children
My prior work experience includes public, special, academic, and school libraries, but I found my passion in the public library setting. My career has centered on connecting communities to information, fostering literacy, and creating inclusive spaces that support lifelong learning. I have a particular passion for youth services and have dedicated much of my work to designing engaging programs, supporting early literacy, and advocating for equitable access to resources for young patrons and their families.
In the classroom, I prioritize interactive and applied learning. I work to design classes and instruction that reflects real-world library challenges and encourages collaboration, cultural competence, and ethical information practices. My goal is to equip students with the skills and confidence to lead in dynamic and evolving library settings.
