GSLIS graduate Jennifer Quiambao has been selected as a Librarian-in-Residence at the Library of Congress for 2019. Now in its second year, the Librarians-in-Residence program offers early-career librarians the opportunity to develop their expertise and contribute to building, stewarding, or sharing the Library’s national collections.
Selected as one of six participants of the program’s 2019 cohort, Jennifer will be the Librarian-in-Residence in the U.S. Monographs Section of the U.S./Anglo Division, Library Services beginning in July. She will be working on Acquisitions and Collection Development and will undertake assignments that contribute to the ongoing mission and work of the Library. While being mentored by seasoned professionals, she will also participate in Library-wide activities, such as the National Book Festival, and provide information sessions concerning her professional interests in Acquisitions, Collection Development, Open Access, and Scholarly Communication to staff at the Library of Congress.
