2021 STEAM WEEK 5

Students will expand their knowledge of the world that surrounds them through studying the various ecosystems in this fun-filled class! In this session, students will gain scientific knowledge and learn more about the vastness of the environment that surrounds us!

Calling all animal lovers! Art encourages attention to detail and creativity, and this drawing activity is a great place to start both these skills! In this session, kids will learn the basics of drawing many favorite animals, including elephants, dogs, and penguins! This session promotes creativity and problem-solving.

In this session, students will practice their active listening and scientific comprehension skills to learn about the wonders of Earth's wildlife. Students will learn all about dolphins in this session and play a mini guessing game at the end!

Get up and get moving! During this exciting dance session, students will learn some fun choreography to a K-pop song, allowing them to stay active and enjoy the art of dance. By learning spatial awareness, students will expand upon their creativity and knowledge of the arts.

Safety always comes first! This session educates your child on basic safety and encourages preparedness for dangerous situations in an easy-to-understand and exciting way. Your child will learn more about staying safe with our qualified mentors!

This fun craft is a must-try this summer! Making a 3D Ladybug will stimulate creativity and critical thinking, all while learning more about the beloved ladybug. Guided step-by-step, this DIY craft is super fun and easy!

Math is a fundamental part of daily life and is needed in almost all career paths. With this session, kids can review the mathematical concepts of shapes and perimeters while expanding their knowledge in a fun and exciting Kahoot game! The skilled mentors will teach students the importance of shapes in our everyday lives and encourage problem-solving skills.

Public speaking is a vital life skill that will be necessary for students to succeed in both school and their future careers. This introductory-level class will introduce students to the basics of public speaking as well as allow them to practice in a positive environment. This session promotes communication skills and quick thinking.

This activity is a fun way to learn engineering skills by using common household items. Guided through the activity step by step, your child will expand their critical thinking in a fun and engaging way. Our mentors will lead your child through an exciting challenge to build the biggest structure out of marshmallows and toothpicks!

Materials: Toothpicks and marshmallows (mini or regular-sized)

During this fun-filled craft, students will create their own origami crown! By using their creativity, children will be guided through creating this masterpiece that can be worn, displaying their royalty to all.
