The ability to effectively compose a narration, essay, or any form of literature is an essential skill that will be always be needed throughout life! With writing tips from our mentors, kids will be able to expand and improve their writing abilities, all while having fun! This week's activity will focus on narrative writing about an experience with empathy. This session promotes empathy, writing skills, and narration skills!

Scratch is a free programming language that is easy for kids to use! In this activity, students will be able to learn the process of coding in a simple and exciting way. Through Scratch, kids are able to begin to work on the skills needed to code more complex projects. This week, our mentors will be leading our students through coding a fun pong game with paddles and balls!!! This session promotes critical thinking, coding skills, and problem-solving.

Dancing is a beautiful way to tell a story through movement and contemporary dance provides an outlet for energy and artistic expression. Contemporary dance is globally one of the most popular styles of dance, especially for professional dancers! In this session, kids will be actively learning the basics of dance along to the tunes of "Stitches" by Shawn Mendes. This session promotes creativity, personal expression, and movement.

If your child dreams of being a doctor or even just has a slight interest in the medical field, this session is the perfect way for them to explore that interest in a fun and informational way. This experiment is perfect to expand medical knowledge by making a medical model of the lungs using household items. Guided through the craft step by step, your child will learn more about the medical field with our qualified mentors! This session promotes creativity, model assembly skills, and medical knowledge.
*NOTE: If you don't have these materials, you are still welcome to come to the session to watch and learn!

In this session, students will be using the supplies you have in your own home to create a brilliant masterpiece! Our mentors will guide your child step-by-step to creating a fun paper eyemask to wear and play with! From superheros to princesses to animals, this craft is perfect for any child. This activity is a fun way for your child to grow their abilities in precision and creativity!
Materials: Paper plate, paper, markers/colors, glue, tape, pipe cleaner/straw, and scissors

This experiment is a fun way to introduce the concepts of physics with household items. Guided through the experiment step by step, your child will expand their scientific knowledge in a fun and engaging way. Our mentors will lead your child through a fun physics challenge to build the biggest structure out of marshmallows and toothpicks! This session promotes creative thinking, engineering/design skills and scientific analysis.

This cool craft is a must-try this summer! Making an indoor bowling kit is fun, easy, and quick! Bowling is an extremely popular activity as a sport and entertainment, and this kit allows you to play this fun game with your kids at home! Our mentors will lead your child step-by-step through creating this easy game! This activity is a fun way for your child to grow their abilities in precision and creativity!

Math is a fundamental part of daily life and is needed in almost all career paths. With this session, kids can review familiar mathematical concepts and expand their knowledge in a fun and engaging game of jeopardy! Two of the founders of Project Teens Teach will be going over mathematical questions of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, shapes, and more with thorough explanations every step of the way! This session promotes memory and analytical thinking.
*NOTE: This session is great for kids 1st to 3rd grade, but can serve as a perfect review for older kids!

Greek mythology contains important life lessons as well as riveting adventures. It has long-influenced society in subtle ways and includes classics that are imperative for kids to know! In this session, students will be introduced to Greek mythology and learn more about the many amazing tales and stories. This is a great way to be develop knowledge about Greek history as well as have an amazing and fun Friday!

Reading serves as a productive past time and expands vocabulary and knowledge! Led by the founders of Project Teens Teach, kids will be able to listen and discuss a book from the hit series The Magic Tree House. This activity is great for kids to relax and have fun as well as follow along to the adventures of two siblings, Jack and Annie, and their adventures through history!

Your kids will enjoy learning to make simple snacks with no heat usage required! A fun intro to cooking, this activity is a great way to pick up on good and healthy snacking habits. Our amazing mentors will lead students through making a simple yet tasty taco! This session promotes responsibility and making healthy choices.
