This is a fun craft session to learn how to fold a classic paper fortune teller and fill it with trivia questions! This session promotes focus, memory and creativity.

Learn to code using Scratch

Scratch is a free programming language that is easy for kids to use! In this activity, students will be able to learn the process of coding in a simple and exciting way. Through Scratch, kids are able to begin to work on the skills needed to code more complex projects. This session promotes memory, processing skills, and problem-solving.

Materials: https://scratch.mit.edu/ account and a device (preferably 2 devices to make learning easier)

The art of ballet in dance

Dancing is an incredible way to tell a story through movement and ballet teaches all of the fundamentals. In this session, kids will get active learning how to nail ballet. You just need an open space and some energy to get groovin'! This session promotes memory and creativity.

Make ice cream in a bag

This cool treat is a must-try this summer! Making ice cream in a bag is fun, easy, and quick! This activity teaches your kids about chemical reactions and how ice cream is created. This might get a little bit messy so parents/guardians are welcome to assist younger children. This session promotes critical thinking and scientific analysis.

Materials: 1 small Ziploc bag, 1 large Ziploc bag, 1 cup of Half-and-half or whole milk, 2 tbsp. granulated sugar, 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract, 3 cups of ice, 1/3 cup of salt

Creative writing

With some super exciting prompts and great writing tips from mentors, kids will be able to expand on their writing abilities and improve all while having fun! This session promotes creativity and communication skills.

NOTE: This session is recommended for 2nd-5th graders.

Jeopardy (Math edition!)

Math is a fundamental part of daily life and is needed in almost all career paths. With this session, kids can review familiar mathematical concepts and expand their knowledge in a fun and exciting game! This session covers basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills.

Art helps kids learn to pay attention to detail and solve problems to create a bigger picture and drawing is a great place to start! In this session, kids will have fun while learning the basics of drawing. This session promotes creativity and problem-solving.

where the wild things are Read-Aloud

A classic children's book, Where the Wild Things Are is a popular story, having won the Caldecott Medal for the Most Distinguished Picture Book. Join us and read along in this story of imagination and adventure! This session will be 20 minutes long.

Materials: None needed! We will be screensharing a PDF of the book.
