Animal kingdom kahoot!

Students will expand their knowledge of the world that surrounds them through studying biology in this fun-filled class! Students will then test what they've learned with an exciting quiz, ensuring that they gain scientific knowledge and the ability to analyze their surroundings!

Paint an ice cream

Painting has been scientifically proven to reduce stress and heighten one's enjoyment of life! In this beginner-level class, students will create masterpieces using the medium of paint, all while being guided through each step by our mentors. This session promotes observational skills and creativity!

Materials: Canvas (or painting paper), paintbrushes, paints (red, blue, yellow, white, black), a palette or a large disposable/washable plate, a cup of water, paper towels, a newspaper/plastic bag

LEMON JUICE experiment

Through the experiment, students will be encouraged to question and learn more about the world around them. By sparking their curiosity, they will grow up to become critical thinkers, capable of building a better world!

Materials: Cotton bud, lemon juice, light source (like a lamp!), plain white paper, bowl/cup

STAR Craft

During this fun-filled craft, students will create a star-shaped masterpiece that can be used for decoration! By using their creativity, children will expand their artistic abilities and put them to practical use.

Wednesday 6/30/21

math kahoot!

Students will get the chance to review key mathematical concepts and then participate in a Kahoot! game to test their knowledge based on the presentation. It will be a fun and unique experience to enjoy learning about math with other kids, all the while teaching students problem-solving skills in addition to increasing mathematical comprehension.

Learn the macarena dance

Get up and get moving! During this exciting dance session, students will learn simple choreography, allowing them to stay active and enjoy the art of dance. By learning spatial awareness, students will expand upon their creativity and knowledge of the arts.

Un"bee"lievable Bees!

In this session, students will practice their active listening and scientific comprehension skills to learn about the wonders of Earth's wildlife. Students will learn all about bees and seal in their new knowledge with a fun quiz at the end.

origami Craft

Using the incredible art of origami, students will learn how to craft both a boat and a puppet out of paper! This session promotes spatial awareness as well as creative thinking!

build-a-bridge challenge

In this activity, students will be challenged to use their critical thinking in order to build their very own bridge! Not only is this class a perfect introduction to simple engineering, but students will also learn more about architectural design and the physics required to keep a bridge intact.

Materials: Tinfoil, tape/glue, 5-10 marbles (or small balls), a chapter book, paper, a pencil, and EITHER 10-15 dry spaghetti pieces and marshmallows OR 10-15 straws and rubber bands

Rhyming poetry activity

From Shakespeare to Frost, poets across the world have shared their unique perspectives for centuries. In this session, students will think creatively to learn about the art of poetry and write a poem of their very own, enhancing their ability to express themselves!
