Writing My First Lesson Plan
Activity 4
Writing My First Lesson Plan
The intended learning outcomes that we achieved in this activity are: (1) describe the different parts of a lesson plan using a specified model; (2)construct a lesson plan aligned to our specialization using the existing basic education curriculum; (3)revise a lesson based on the comments and suggestions given by the mentor/ instructor; (4) cite challenges encountered in writing lesson plan; and (5) reflect on the feedback received for the improvement of teaching practice.
The focus of this activity is on creating a Lesson Plan. We are required to request a lesson plan from our cooperating teacher or download one from the internet but it should be aligned to our specialization which we can utilize to create our own lesson plan.
We completed this worksheet by answering the following sections: observation, analysis, create, and reflection. We completed the observation section by answering all of the questions about our observations of the various lesson plans offered to us by the FS mentor and teacher from our respective specialization. We examined the various parts/models of the Lesson Plan in the analysis section and answer questions regarding it. We chose one model to serve as our basis in designing and writing our own Lesson Plan in the create part. The reflection section enabled us to express our own ideas and opinions regarding the problems we faced while developing our lesson plan and how we overcame them. We conducted a group meeting and group collaboration via messenger in order to complete the group output, which focuses on writing Lesson Plan. Some of us shared ideas about the activity. We really faced hurdles while creating our final lesson plan, such as defining the objectives and aligning the activities and assessments to the anticipated learning outcomes. We considered the comments we received from our cooperating teacher making us able to develop our final lesson plan for the lesson we were assigned.
In this activity, we found out that lesson planning isn't really an easy task to create or write. It is something that must be done with careful and meticulous planning because you have to take into consideration the different aspects that affects the learning process of the students.

The Activity above was anchored on the fourth domain, Curriculum Planning. Upon answering the activity, we were able to achieve different learning competencies that we are expected to attain upon completing it.
The observation part helped us to meet 4 learning competencies under domain 4 namely: (1) Identify learning outcomes that are aligned with learning competencies, (2) Demonstrate knowledge in the implementation of relevant and responsive learning programs, (3) Seek advice concerning strategies that can enrich teaching practice and (4) Show skills in the selection, development and use of a variety of teaching and learning resources, including ICT, to address learning goals.
This part of the activity helped us to attain 3 learning competencies under the fourth domain. These are: (1) Demonstrate knowledge in the implementation of relevant and responsive learning programs, (2) Seek advice concerning strategies that can enrich teaching practice and (3) Show skills in the selection, development and use of a variety of teaching and learning resources, including ICT, to address learning goals.
The analysis part of this activity helped us to achieve 3 learning competencies under domain 4 specifically: (1) Demonstrate knowledge in the implementation of relevant and responsive learning programs, (2) Seek advice concerning strategies that can enrich teaching practice and (3) Show skills in the selection, development and use of a variety of teaching and learning resources, including ICT, to address learning goals.
The create part of this activity helped us to attain 5 learning competencies under domain 4 specifically: (1) Prepare developmentally sequenced teaching and learning process to meet curriculum requirements, (2) Identify learning outcomes that are aligned with learning competencies, (3) Demonstrate knowledge in the implementation of relevant and responsive learning programs, (4) Seek advice concerning strategies that can enrich teaching practice and (5) Show skills in the selection, development and use of a variety of teaching and learning resources, including ICT, to address learning goals.
The reflection part of this activity helped us to achieve 4 learning competencies under domain 4 namely: (1) Prepare developmentally sequenced teaching and learning process to meet curriculum requirements, (2) Demonstrate knowledge in the implementation of relevant and responsive learning programs, (3) Seek advice concerning strategies that can enrich teaching practice and (4) Show skills in the selection, development and use of a variety of teaching and learning resources, including ICT, to address learning goals.
