Mary Lucey, the second born child of Cornelius and Julia, became a monitress at the turn of the (20th) century and later, a teacher at Mallow in county Cork. She married Thomas Coleman in 1910 and later lived and taught at Lombardstown where she and her husband raised a bright and scholarly family of two sons, John and Tom, and a daughter, Nell. John, who was ordained a Priest in 1940, died from cancer on 25 April 1963 aged 44 years; his brother, Tom, became a doctor. Mary, their mother, died in her 84th year and was buried at Glantane, Co. Cork.
