Community Living services support individuals with establishing, developing, and maintaining skills needed to live in the community.

Community Living Service Types

Pre-ISLA (Independent Supported Living Arrangement)

Pre-ISLA services are time limited and support individuals who currently reside in their natural home to build skills needed to transition to live independently.

ISLA (Independent Supported Living Arrangement)

ISLA services support individuals to live independently in the community. Supports promote the development of skills for independence so the individual can stay in his or her own residence and access the community.

Independent Living Assistance Fund (ILAF)

Independent Living Assistance Fund (ILAF) reimbursements provide individuals living in the community with furnishings and household items.Independent Living Assistance Funds may be accessed for individuals receiving Pre-ISLA or ISLA. Please discuss with your Pre-ISLA or ISLA provider for further details.

Supportive Housing

Supportive Housing services support individuals and/or families with long-term housing needs. This service is only provided by St. Louis Office for Developmental Disability Resources (DDR).
