Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program

What is the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)?

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, often referred to as SNAP, offers a monthly benefit to help individuals or families purchase food, seeds and/or plants to grow their own food.  An individual or family receives an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card and the monthly benefit is loaded to that card. The benefit cannot be withdrawn as cash.
