All Phral that live in a region (city, town, community, etc) anywhere around the world are part of that region's Circle. The Circle is a loosely formed group with no bonds or oaths, and Phral can choose if they wish to be active in it or not. All Covens and Sabbats in the region fall under the Circle. Some Circles may be more formal in their organization, with councils and elders or other politics involved, especially if there are conflicts with other races, while others choose to be just social groups.
One thing the Circle is, is a social group, an opportunity for Phral to find community, and meet with others. The Circle attempts to bring Phral together regardless of whether they are in their own covens or not, to recharge on the full moon, or other large gatherings and celebrations such as the Spring Equinox. The Ashmore Circle will always be present in those events but welcomes other covens and groups to host and/or organize these events.
Phral are encouraged to start their own Covens. Covens are still part of the Circle, but they are individual groups of Phral that work well together, get along well, feel somehow connected, and have taken a loyalty Oath to the Coven. They might practice the same style of magic or have other things in common. Spells and rituals performed by a coven are stronger and have a better chance of success than those performed by Phral working alone. Covens decide on their hierarchy and politics, but most often there is one leader, or a cycle of leaders to represent the Coven in important community matters. Covens are also welcome to organize events for the circle, host parties, etc. If a Coven’s bond grows, and the members trust each other enough, they might choose to form a Sabbat.
A Phral may be a part of up to 3 covens. Any more than that and any power they may lend will be so diluted it would be useless.
OOC: We do know that people like to organize groups quickly, but they are much more fun when they form organically!
Sabbats in the Unnatural world are unique groups of Phral, consisting of a minimum of three members bonded through a special blood ritual. This bond is partially psychic, enabling Sabbat members to sense each other's intense emotions, including fear, sadness, anxiety, excitement, lust, or love. The spells cast by Sabbats surpass the strength and duration achievable by individual Phral or even covens, and certain spells can only be executed with the collective power of a Sabbat (see below).
Sabbats typically emerge organically from covens, although not all coven members necessarily become part of a Sabbat. Large covens may house multiple Sabbats among their ranks. Alternatively, Sabbats can be formed by blood relatives, creating a familial bond among its members.
Regardless of their origin, Sabbats are significant commitments, and Phral should not enter or break their bond casually. Breaking the bond or releasing just one Sabbat member results in overwhelming sadness, distress, and/or physical pain for all members.
While a Phral can be part of up to three covens, they may only belong to one Sabbat. Attempts to join another Sabbat will automatically sever the bond with the previous one.
Special Abilities of A Sabbat
Bonded Sabbats can Banish an Incarnate from a Human, with a 75% chance of survival. This ritual requires at least 3 Phral from the same Sabbat. A vessel must be created beforehand, and it could be anything–a clay pot, a carved wooden box, etc. (doesn’t have to be human-sized), and be heavily warded and magically sealed (wards for this vessel do not need to be recharged). The vessel must then be kept somewhere safe, if broken the Incarnate is released. You may be creative with the ritual. The Human may not have any true, clear, recollection of their time as Incarnate, but some flashbacks or dreams are possible.
A Sabbat (at least 3 members) may perform a ritual to interrupt another Phral’s ability to communicate with magic, rendering them powerless. The target's magical powers are interrupted for a period of 3 days. They become temporarily unable to cast spells or use any of their magical abilities. This ability requires a deeply connected personal item, such as hair or fingernail clippings, clothing with body fluids such as sweat, a tooth, etc, an incantation, and a ritual (a coven may be creative and personalize this ritual). After the 3 days, the Phral will regain their abilities, and may not be a target of this spell again for a full month. The spell is draining and would require 3 or more Sabbat members to complete it. NOTE: Suppression is possible for longer periods, but requires admin approval.
The ability to walk ‘unseen”. This is an artifact-activated spell that allows a Phral to ‘walk unseen’ and go invisible. Anything on their person-clothes, jewelry, items in the pockets, etc, worn at the time of activation goes with them. This does not render them incorporeal, they still need to open doors and walk around objects. They can still be heard, if they move an object, it can be seen, etc.
The Sabbat picks an artifact, for example, The Fool Tarot card, one card for each member (all the same) that will receive a card. The spell/ritual is performed by all members who will receive a card and is imbued with power. When needed, the Phral can hold the card in their hand, say the word “Nevăzut” and go invisible.
Up to 3 people can go invisible with one card if they are holding hands and must hold hands for the duration. If anyone lets go, they will be seen.
LIMITS:
Only 1 artifact can be created by each Sabbat member at one time, and they can only be created on the full moon.
The artifacts are NOT transferable. The only person that can use it is the person who made it.
The artifact has 2 uses during a full moon period, with a recharge after the first use. The recharge ritual must be done at night, in the light of the moon, and include drops of both - vampire and werewolf blood.
