Title: Moonstones of Power
What does this do?
These moonstones will be charged with the power of moonlight, to allow any phral to recharge their power on the full from anywhere they can sit in the moonlight. The stone will need to be recharged every 3 months in the phral circle during the full moon. A Phral with this stone will no longer have to go to the cave on the full moon unless they want to or to recharge the stone.
When can these stones be made?
The stone's creation takes a few days. The spell and creation is started on the Equinox and are not finished till the first full moon after the Equinox. These stones cannot be made by just one Phral or a single coven. It takes the Ashmore Circle to make these stones. This is usually done as part of the celebration for the Equinox. The first stones were attempted at the Spring Equinox.
Ingredients:
moonstones (for harnessing lunar energy)
1 clear glass or crystal bowl (to hold the moonstones)
1 silver cloth or cloth pouch (to cradle the moonstones)
1 small vial of pure water from a natural source (to cleanse and purify)
1 bunch of fresh lavender (for clarity and heightened intuition)
Moonflower petals (collected during a full moon night for added lunar potency)
1 silver candle (to invoke the energy of the moon)
1 feather (representing air, to facilitate communication with lunar energies)
1 piece of paper and pen (for writing intentions)
. A quiet, outdoor space with a clear view of the moon.
Instruction:
Preparation before the Equinox
1. The night before the Equinox, bring all the ingredients under the moonlight. Set up your space outdoors, arranging the ingredients within reach.
3. Hold the moonstones in your hands, connecting with their collective energy. Visualize a silver glow enveloping them, cleansing and preparing them to absorb lunar power.
4. Light the silver candle, expressing gratitude to the moon for its guidance and energy.
5. Dip the feather into the vial of pure water, gently sprinkling droplets over the moonstones. Envision the water cleansing and purifying the stones.
6. Place the bunch of lavender and moonflower petals around the moonstones, creating a circle of lunar energy.
7. Allow the silver candle to burn, absorbing the moon's energy, until it extinguishes naturally.
8. Leave Moonstones in the circle until the night of the Equinox
On the Equinox
On the morning of the Equinox, gather up the moonstones and place them in a basket. The more Phral participates in the spell the stronger the magic of the stones will be. Ask each phral to take three moonstones, focus their magic, and say the following incantation as they lay out each moonstone on the top of a rock in the Phral Circle.
Incantation
In the celestial glow of Luna's embrace,
Let the magic of the full moon trace.
Infuse this stone with lunar might,
A conduit for the silvered light.
From waxing crescent to full moon's bloom,
Let the power of the night sky loom.
In each facet, in each gleaming beam,
May the moon's essence forever stream.
By the cosmic dance, by the lunar sway,
Bless this stone on this enchanted day.
Moonstone, with your shimmering hue,
Channel the moon's magic through and through.
So mote it be, by moon's decree,
Infuse this stone with lunar glee.
As above, so below, let it shine,
A beacon of moon's magic, divine.
The stones will remain on the rocks untouched till the next full moon
On the full Moon after the Equinox
Phral gather at the circle on the night of the full moon and focus their magic in a group chant.
Recite the following incantation as you focus on what the moonstones will be use for.
Incantation
In the glow of Luna's light so bright, moonstone fair, embrace the night. By earth, air, fire, and water's tune, charge this stone 'til the equinox's boon, renew its magic under the full moon's sight
Items:
For maximum strength, a minimum of 4 Phral is needed, or if part of a Sabbat, 2 may suffice. This will take a lot of power, the more Phral the better, and the more you prepare initially will minimize lethargy and the possibility of passing out after performing the spell.
Sage bundles for each Phral.
Pillows and blankets - in case some do pass out after, they would be safe in the circle. Make sure they are comfortable and warm if you are unable to move them.
1. Standing inside the perimeter of the Circle of Stones, facing outward, 1 Phral at each cardinal point NSEW, and as many others that want to join filling in at the other stones in the Circle. If only 2 from a bonded Sabbat, they may pick E & W, or N & S (so that each covers a full half of the circle).
2. Take a few minutes to focus and gather. You must concentrate on the intended effect - a circle of protection around the cave entrance. Visualize a fortress wall, tall and mighty, glowing with power, rising from the earth around your brothers and sisters to guard you and your sacred space.
--Clothing is optional, but feet must be bare and in contact with the Earth. Some may kneel and dig their fingers in the Earth, or spread some on their skin. A dip in the nearby pond or stream (natural water source) will also help. The more contact you have with power the more you can gather, which will diminish the "power hangover" afterward.
3. When everyone is ready, stand and hold the sage bundle with both hands pointing outward (toward your designated cardinal point) and use your power to light it. It should NOT flame, but smolder and smoke.
4. Hold the sage outward. The Leading Phral will say, loud and clear (not screaming, mind you)
Then all repeat 3 times.
Incantation
"May the shield protect, the power increase,
let the defense fortify, the wall rise.
May the forces be barred, evil repelled,
In pure light, safety is compelled."
By the power that lies within,
I call upon the strength of ancient kin.
Let this ward of protection rise,
fortified and shielded in ties.
"Ai grija de noi, Ai grija de noi. Ai grija de noi"
Ai grija de noi (take care of us)
ah-ee gree-jah deh no-ee
OOC NOTE ON EFFECTS: The smoke from the sage would drift forward in a single strand and when hitting the stone in front of you would split in two and move outwards to join the other wisps of smoke coming from the others. A thin, but very obvious and visible ring of swirling smoke will form around the standing stones. If the smoke ring is not visible -as in not enough Phral or not enough power, you may repeat the incantation as many times as needed. A group of 4 well-prepared Phral should be enough. the more Phral participates the thicker the ring of smoke.
Prepared Phral should feel lightheaded and a little high, perhaps after this spell, provided there are 4 (2 with a Sabbat), unprepared Phral would feel almost drunk, nauseous, or even pass out after, collapsing where they stood. If unclothed and in contact with Earth, they might remain unconscious for about 15 mins.
