Fall Equinox and Harvest Moon Spells

What does it do?  This spell will help unlock your creative potential, filling your mind with inspiration and new ideas whenever you focus on the pumpkin.

Ingredients:

• A small pumpkin

• A sharp knife (for carving)

• A piece of paper and a pen

• A candle (gold or yellow)

• Cinnamon powder

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Pumpkin Carve a small opening at the top of the pumpkin and scoop out the seeds and pulp, keeping the flesh intact. Save the seeds in the bowls provided you will be using them for another spell. 

2. Create Your Focus: On the piece of paper, write down a specific creative goal or idea you want to enhance. Fold it and place it inside the hollow pumpkin.

3. Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon inside the pumpkin, symbolizing warmth and inspiration.

4. Light the Candle: Place the candle next to the pumpkin and light it, focusing on the flame as a source of creative energy.

5. Say Incantation: With hands resting on the pumpkin, recite the incantation three times, visualizing your creativity blossoming and flowing freely. Push your magic into the pumpkin as you say the words. 

6 Close your eyes and Meditate.  Spend a few minutes in silence, allowing your mind to explore new ideas and possibilities.

7. When ready, extinguish the candle. Keep the pumpkin in a prominent place to remind you of your creative intentions.

Incantation:

Pumpkin bright, ignite my mind,

Inspiration, let me find!

Under moonlit, silver beams,

Let my heart weave vivid dreams.

In the shadow, let me see,

All the wonders yet to be.

What does it do? 

This spell is designed to bring clarity and insight by using the symbolic star inside an apple. However, if improperly cast or the apple is eaten, the spell backfires, causing the person to lose their inhibitions instead of gaining clarity.

Ingredients:

• 1 ripe apple (preferably red, to symbolize knowledge and temptation)

• 1 small, sharp knife (to reveal the star in the apple’s core)

• 1 white candle (to represent purity and insight)

• A pinch of cinnamon (for mental sharpness)

• A bowl of fresh spring water (for clarity)

• A small amount of dried Peyote to intensify the clarity and insight.

• Cauldron

• Bourbon. 

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Apple: Hold the apple in your hand and concentrate on the clarity you wish to gain. Cut the apple horizontally through the middle to reveal the five-pointed star formed by the seeds in the core.

2. Focus your thoughts and magic on the idea of finding clarity and insight. 

3. Cinnamon Blessing: Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon over the apple halves, focusing on the spice’s power to sharpen your mind. Add some of the dried peyote.

4  Light the white candle and place it near the apple. Stare into the flame and visualize the clarity you seek filling the apple’s star.  

5 Recite the Incantation. Hold both halves of the apple together as you say the following incantation

6. Place the two halves into the cauldron full of Bourbon. Place the Cauldron on a flame and allow it to come to a boil before taking off the fire. Strain the liquid discarding the apples. 

7. Place the liquid into small containers.

Incantations

Star within, grant me sight,  

Show the truth, reveal the light.  

From earth’s fruit and seed’s bright core,  

Let my mind see evermore.  

By water clear and fire’s glow,  

The path of wisdom I shall know."

How to do you use it? 

Take one teaspoon of the Liquid. This will help you focus and see have more clarity and insight when performing magic. Each container holds about 6 sips. The potion will last till the first day of winter.

Limits:

• The spell backfires only if the apple is bitten or eaten.

• It can only affect the person consuming the apple.

• There is no way to reverse the effects until the 12 hours pass.

• The Clarity spell can only be made on the Fall equinox 

What does it do? 

This spell uses pumpkin seeds to enhance the phral's connection to nature, increasing sensitivity to the energies and rhythms of the natural world. This will help a phral feel changes or shifts in the magic up to 30 meters from them.

Ingredients:

• 7 pumpkin seeds (to symbolize growth and unity with nature)

• Aluminum foil.

• A small green candle (to represent vitality and nature)

• A piece of paper and a pen (to set your intentions)

• garlic

• butter

• Salts 

• Leaves or petals. 

• Twine.

Instructions:

1 Clean the pumpkin seeds, soaking them in a bottle of water. 

2.  Dry off the seeds and lay them flat on a small piece of foil. 

3. Add ½ tbs of butter, garlic, and salts.

4. Wrap up the seeds in the foil. 

5. Place the fresh leaves or petals atop the seeds, symbolizing the beauty and diversity of the natural world.

6. Use the twine to tie the leaves to the foil packet.

7 Position the green candle on top of the aluminum foil pack and light it, focusing on the flame as a symbol of life and the energy of nature.

6. Recite the Incantation: Stand before your setup and say the following incantation:

7. Place the packet in the coals of the fire. Leave the packet on the coals for 45 minutes.

How to use it? 

When you feel like you need to that closer connection with nature eat one of the seeds. You will feel a stronger connection to nature for three rp hours. 

Limits:

• The spell enhances awareness but does not grant control over natural forces.

• Ongoing interaction with nature is essential for maintaining and strengthening the connection

What does it do? 

This spell harnesses the energy of the moon on the equinox, capturing it within a white pumpkin to enhance your magical abilities and boost your energy when practicing magic.

Ingredients:

• 1 medium-sized white pumpkin (representing the moon)

• 1 silver or white candle (to symbolize lunar energy)

• 1 tablespoon Essence of Moonlight (some has already been made for you to use) 

• A piece of paper and a pen (to set your intentions)

• 3 sprigs of lavender (for tranquility and enhanced intuition)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Pumpkin: Carve a crescent moon symbol or a star pattern into the white pumpkin. Clean out the insides, saving the seeds for later.

2. Set Your IntentionsOn the piece of paper, write down how you wish to enhance your energy and magic (e.g., “I seek clarity and strength in my practice”). Fold the paper three times.

3. Place the folded paper inside the pumpkin. Add the moon water to the bottom of the pumpkin, allowing it to soak into the insides.

4. Add the Lavender: Place the sprigs of lavender inside the pumpkin for calmness and enhanced connection to intuition.

5. Place the silver or white candle atop the pumpkin. As you light it, focus on the flame and visualize the moon's energy filling the pumpkin.

6. Recite the Incantation: Stand before the pumpkin and say the following incantation:

7.  Set the white pumpkin in a prominent spot in your house where you perform your magic.

Incantation

"By the light of the white pumpkin's glow,   I gather the moon's energy, let it flow.  From the night sky, I draw the tide,  Infuse this space, where magic abides.  With lavender’s peace and moon water’s grace,  I boost my power in this sacred place.  As I speak, my will aligns,  Magic within me, brightly shines."

Limits:

• The spell primarily enhances personal energy and allows you to use more magic to create a spell on your own. It does not grant any specific spells or abilities.

• Last until the first day of winter Dec. 21, 2024, or when the pumpkin starts to rot.

What does it do? 

This spell creates a protective ward using a Jack o' Lantern to shield your home or business from negative energies or magic. If a person tries to walk your home they will not be able to do any negative or dark magic/energy to you at your own home.

Ingredients:

• 1 medium-sized pumpkin (for the Jack o' Lantern)

• 1 tealight candle or LED candle (to represent the protective light)

• 1 tablespoon of salt (for purification)

• 3 sprigs of rosemary (for protection and clarity)

• A small piece of black tourmaline or obsidian (for grounding and defense)

• A piece of paper and a pen (for your intentions)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Pumpkin  Carve a face into the pumpkin that represents protection (e.g., a fierce expression). Clean out the insides and keep the seeds for later

2. Set Your Intentions: On the piece of paper, write down what you wish to protect against, negativity energy/magic. Fold the paper three times.

3. Create the Base Place the folded paper at the bottom of the pumpkin. Add the salt and rosemary sprigs on top to purify the space and enhance protective energies.

4. Add the Stone  Place the black tourmaline or obsidian inside the pumpkin to absorb negative energies.

5. Light the Candle: Place the tealight or LED candle in the center of the pumpkin. As you light it, visualize a protective barrier forming around your space.

6.  Recite the Incantation Stand before the pumpkin and say the following incantation:

7. Place the Pumpkin Set the Jack o' Lantern at your front door or a window where it can be seen from outside. 

Incantations:

 Jack of lantern, light so bright,  

 Guard this space both day and night.  

 With salt and rosemary, pure and strong,  

 Keep away all that is wrong.  

 By this flame, I set my will,  

 Protection here, and fear be still.  

 As I speak, so shall it be,  

 This ward now stands, protecting me.

Limits: 

It will only protect the person who carves the Jack O’Lantern. 

It will need to be charged once it has been used. (It can be recharged through October at the Phral Circle/Cave.

This can only be made on the Fall Equinox

The pumpkin will not start to rot till Nov.1 The more rot the less effective it will be till there is nothing. 

The ward does not protect against physical harm or legal issues; it focuses solely on spiritual and energetic protection.

The Jack O’Lantern should be lit for it to work. 

What does it do? 

Clearing the space

The broom will become infused with Lunar energy and clear spaces of negative energy. This should be used when setting up a ritual space. 

One-time use

If mind control is suspected to have been used, the phral, if allowed, may sweep the area around a person. The sweep must be in a full circle (to represent the moon) and must be continuous for five minutes to work (at least 2 post rounds). If the person has been exposed to the mind control or illusions, the broom will snap in half.  From the negative energy around the person

Ingredients:

• A bowl of spring water (or clean tap water if none available)

• A pinch of sea salt

• A sprig of fresh rosemary (or dried if needed)

• A slice of lemon or a few drops of lemon juice

• A small white candle

• The new broom

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Space
Place the broom outside where the moonlight touches it directly. Position the bowl of water, salt, rosemary, and lemon beside it. Light the candle safely to represent the moon’s fire.

2. Create the Moon-Water - Add the pinch of salt, rosemary, and lemon to the bowl of water.
Stir clockwise three times, saying: Inacation #1

3. Bathing the Broom
Dip your fingers into the moon-water. Sprinkle droplets along the bristles and lightly along the handle. If the broom is sturdy, you may brush the bristles gently through the bowl, letting the rosemary touch it.

Let the broom lie under the moonlight for an hour or two to soak up the lunar rays. When time is up, gather up the Broom. Be sure to thank the moon. Once back in your home or business, Sweep or mock sweeping (hold the broom just above the floor to imitate sweeping). This is done over a carpet or a rug. A large space is not required. Do this for a few minutes to symbolize sweeping out the negative energy from your home.  Then stand in the center of the room and envision your home being filled and the harvest moonlight.  

Incantation#1 

“Moonlight pure, water bright, cleanse and bless this broom tonight.”

 Limits: 

• This broom can only be made under an Equinox moon. 

• Only one can be made per phral

• This Broom can only be used by a Phral as for both usages, Phral magic needs to be used while sweeping.

• For cleansing the space

The Broom needs to be recharged every three months. The moonlight water needs to be sprinkled over the broom in order to clear the negative it has absorbed. 

• For Detections Use 

For detections, the broom will not say who or what time of Mind control/illusion has been used. And will not stop the mind control or Illusion. 

If the Broom is used for the detection of mind control or illusion work, the broom pieces need to be burned immediately.

If the Broom is not burned within 24 hours, the negative energy will grow within the broom, and it will fall back on the Phral who did the sweeping. The illusion/or mind control that was inflicted on the suspected person will transfer to that Phral. 

What does it do? 

Glamour enhancement. Allows a phral to look completely different for 4 hours.   This makes a liter. 

Ingredients:

How to make: 

• A bottle of your favorite spirits (whiskey, rum, brandy, or similar)

• Amber bottle

• A small glass or cup

• Mugworts

• Apple peal

• A pinch of dried herbs associated with harvest or balance, such as:

 Rosemary (clarity)
  Thyme (protection)
Cinnamon (prosperity)

Instructions:

1.  Prepare the alcohol. The alcohol should be in a clear bottle. Remove all labels.  Place the bottle in the moonlight during the Fall Equinox.

2.  Add the dried herbs, Apple peels, and mugwort to the bottom of the amber bottle. Place this bottle open under the moonlight. 

3. Infuse with moonlight. Allow both bottles to sit for an hour so they may absorb the lunar rays. 

4.  Once the hour has passed, carefully pour the alcohol into the amber bottle with the herbs.  One hand on the alcohol bottle, the other on the amber bottle (you may have another phral help you hold the bottles to make sure they don't spill but one hand should be on each bottle as you pour. 

5. Push your magic into the Bottles as you transfer the liquid from one bottle to the other. The transfer is done three times to ensure the mixture is properly mixed.  As you pour, you will continuously repeat the incantation. After the third pour, the clear bottle should be empty and the amber bottle filled.

6.  Pour one shot into your glass. Then seal off the bottle. Place one hand on the bottle as you take the shot.  Finishing off the spell with the incantation that states your intent.

Incantation #2 

7. After you take your shot, place your hand on the sealed bottle. Then say the following Incantion #3. 

Quickly place the bottle into the velvet bag

How to do you use it? 

Items Needed: 

• Magazines or pictures of what you want to look like. 

• 6 oz of the Harvest Moon Potion.  (you must be exact) 

•  White Candle

• A mirror and a quiet place. 

Instructions: 

• Choose the pictures or pictures of what you want to look like. You can mix and match.

• Light the candle and set it next to the mirror in front of you so you can look into it as you drink it.

• Close your eyes, think about your new face, and say the words....Incantation #4 

• Count to ten and open your eyes when you look in the mirror, you will have a whole new face.

Incantations:

Incantation #1: (While pouring) 

By moonlit hand and harvest flame,

Spirits shift, no face the same.

Peel and leaf, and root of ground,

Bind my will, let change be found.

Threefold pouring, threefold might,

Seal this glamour in the night.” 

Incantation #2 ( when you take the first drink) 

“Moon of harvest, gift of time,

Hold this glamour, spell be mine.” 

Incantation #3: (Close the spell) 

I give my thanks to the moon and the year,
For glamour’s gift made crystal clear.
Rest, O spirit, safe in shade,
Till next year’s moon, when brew is made.”

Incantation #4  (Activation words) 

“Face of mine, I set aside,

Shape anew, let form now glide.

By mirror’s eye, and harvest flame,

Let me walk in other name.” 

Warning label: 

Too little: 

The user must take exactly 6 oz of the drink for it to work. If you don't drink enough and say the words, you will not change but will feel drunk (magically infused alcohol you just took a 6-oz drink of). It could potentially make you throw up as well. 

Too much: 

If you drink more than 6 ozs not only will you be drunk in your new look, but the magic will try and make you look like the last person you saw (not a picture) . 

If done, just write.. then the person will have no side effects from the alcohol until the spell wears off. ( see below) 

Limits:

• This potion will make you look the way you want; however, it will not copy another person. "You choose a picture of Marilyn Monroe. However, the magic will not make you an exact copy.. (similar features, but others will know you are not Marylin Monroe)

• Most must be kept in an Amber bottle, in a black velvet bag. 

• It must be kept away from all sunlight. If it is exposed, it loses all magical properties.

• Only a Phral can make it, but it can be sold..

•  To make this work, the user must drink exactly 6 oz.  

•  Ritual Timing → Brewing is only possible at the Fall Equinox, under the harvest moon. Miss it, and you wait another year.

• You may only make one bottle, one one-liter bottle, during the equinox

• Magical Toll → Drinking a full glass of strong spirits + magic infusion is heavy. The User gets 4 hours of glamour, but afterward, they may feel drained, dizzy, or experience faint flickers of their true appearance before stabilizing.
  
  

• Potency: As the year goes on, the Potion will lose its potency. The time you will remain in glamour will decrease. 

By March of the following year, the potion will give 3 hours

By July, the potion will only allow a person to be glamoured for 2 hours.

 By the next Phral Equinox (September) it will not work.

What does it do? 

This spell creates a protective scent-based barrier that repels malicious intent from the threshold of a home, fooling even the magically aware into believing the stench is real and inescapable until they retreat. 

Ingredients:

• A purple-leaved seedling (grown or gifted, never purchased)

• A clay pot

• A scoop of earth taken from the four corners of your property

• Three dried pumpkin seeds

• A sprig of rosemary (for balance)

• Two black feathers

• Fermented pumpkin rind 

• Night-moss spores 

• A white candle

• Bowl of water

Instructions:

Note, you should be pushing your magic into every step of this planting.

1 Prepare the Pot: Place the clay pot before you. Mix the soil from the four directions in the Phral Circle (North, South, East, West)  of your with the pumpkin seeds and rosemary sprig, speaking: Incantation #1                                              
2. Planting the Seedling: Press the black feather into the soil. It symbolizes the banishment of ill will. Then gently place the purple seedling on top of the feather. The roots should be on top and around the feather.                                         
3. Watering the Ward: Dip your fingers into the bowl of water. Sprinkle three drops over the plant while saying: Incantation #2        

4. Light the Candle.  Take the second feather and light it on fire.  Lay the lit feather down in a bowl and let it burn to ash. As it burns, whisper the following words. Incantation #3   

 5. When the feather has crumbled to ash, scatter it across a strip of fermented pumpkin rind. Add a pinch of nightmoss, then grind the mixture together with a pestle until it forms a thick, reeking paste. This will be the only time the Phral will smell the stench that the ward will create; however, it will not be as potent as those it is meant to keep out. It will encourage the phral, however, to work faster.           

6. Add the mixture to the roots of the plants. Cover the seedlings and roots with the soil (nothing that you put in with the seeds should be seen in the soil.) Once the roots are covered the smell of will no longer be detectable. 

7. Sealing the Magic: Lift the white candle and hold it before the pot. Circle the flame clockwise three times around the plant. Speak Incantation #4 

8. A phral can choose to use their inherent ability and grow the plant quickly (or ask a phral to help them if they have not learned how to grow a plant), or they may choose to let it grow naturally. The spell will work even with a seeding. 

9. Extinguish the candle in the bowl of water to close the ritual.

How to use it? 

• Place the pot near your doorway, set beside pumpkins or gourds. 

• The plant will remain dormant until a person approaches with anger or harmful intent, at which point it will release its unbearable odor.

• No one will notice a smell unless they have triggered. This happens if the person gets too close to the plant. 

• Effects on the intruder may include watery eyes, a running nose, gagging, or nausea.

• Once the person leaves the area (20m), the air clears instantly, leaving no trace of the smell.

Incantations

Incantations #1 

“From earth to hearth, from seed to stone,
Guard this threshold, guard this home. I plant these seeds with love and care.  

Incantation #2

“By balance of night and day,
By turning of the wheel and season’s sway,
Rise in scent, sharp and true,
Drive away harm, let peace come through.”

Incantation #3 

 Should be whispered and said 3 times: “Feather fall, shadow cleave,

Turn to ash, make deceit leave.

Smoke of night, scent of ward,

Incantation #4 

“Skunkvine strong, Guard all night long,
Repel with stench, Ill will be gone.”

Limits:

• This plant will last till the Spring Equinox. 

• It will lose its potency as time goes on

• It can only be made on the Equinox. If this is the only spell the phral is doing on the Equinox, they are able to make up to three of these plants. However, if they are doing other spells as well, they will only be able to do one.
