What does it do? 

Guardian's Slumber Ward s a protective charm or sigil designed to safeguard an individual during their sleep. Placed discreetly beneath the sleeper's resting place, this enchantment activates a defensive response against potential harm. If an assailant attempts to inflict harm, the Sentinel Sleep Seal triggers a high-pitched sound in their ears, followed by intense stomach cramps.

In the realm of dreams, where shadows creep,

By this charm, I bid thee keep,

Protect this sleeper, set them free.

• Essence of Moonlight *See ingredients page

Ritual:

1. Begin the ritual at dusk, when the veil between the waking world and the realm of dreams grows thin.

2. Prepare a sacred space, free from distractions, and lay out the ingredients on a clean surface.

3. Light a candle of indigo hue to invoke the power of intuition and inner wisdom.

4. Mix the essence of moonlight and lavender mist into a bowl. Tie the silver thread to the dreamer's feathers. Place the feather into the bowl. Say the Incantation and push your magic.

5. Seal the spell by extinguishing the candle flame, symbolizing the merging of darkness and light in the realm of dreams.

Making the Charm: 

Allow the feather and silver thread to dry completely. Place the dreamer's feather beneath the sleeper's pillow or head of the sleeping person, imbuing their dreams with serenity and guidance.

Making the Sigil: 

Dip the end of the feather in paint or ink and draw the sigil on the part of the Furniture on the floor. It should be underneath the sleeping person.

If using the sigil, the feather does not need to go under the pillow but should be in the same room.

Limitations:

• This sigil/charm will only need to be charged once a month or if it is used.

• If the feather is removed or the sigil destroyed the spell will not work. 

• The attacker will feel the effects of the spell up to  20 meters away and will be a slow tapering off after those 20 meters (the spell will take another 15 minutes or 2 post rounds for the spell to noise and cramps to stop. 

What does it do? 

This gris-gris is to protect a house from intruders.  OOC: You should put this in a scripted item near your house that gives the “intruder” a notecard or somehow communicates to other players how to RP out the effects (not the whole spell, just the effects)

Ingredients:

•  A small red flannel bag

•  A pinch of salt

• A small piece of black tourmaline

• A sprig of rosemary

•  A piece of paper and a pen

• A white candle

Method of Preparation:

1. Begin by lighting the white candle in a quiet, undisturbed space.

2. Take the piece of paper and pen, and write your intention for protection. It could be something like, "By the power of this gris-gris, I protect this dwelling from all unwanted intruders."

3. Fold the paper towards you three times, visualizing your home safe and secure.

4. Place the folded paper in the red flannel bag.

5. Add a pinch of salt to the bag to purify and protect the space.

6. Next, place the black tourmaline inside the bag. This stone is known for its protective properties.

7. Finally, add the sprig of rosemary to the bag. Rosemary is associated with protection and purification.

8. Close the bag securely and hold it between your hands. Focus your energy on the intention of protection, infusing the gris-gris with your personal power.

9.  Bury the gris-gris near the front door of your house or in a flower pot near your front door.

Incantation/Prayer:

"Guardians of the threshold, hear my plea,

Protect this home and all within, so mote it be.

With salt and stone, and herb so green,

This gris-gris wards off all unseen.

By my will, this dwelling's shield,

From unwanted intruders, it shall yield.

As I speak, so shall it be,

This protection now I decree."

Recharging Method:

To recharge the protection gris-gris after 30 days, set some rosemary and salt to smolder in a small cauldron, pass the gris-gris over the smoke to clear, and take it outside under the light of the moon. Hold it in your hands and visualize the protective energy being renewed and strengthened. Once recharged, the gris-gris will be ready to continue protecting the dwelling for another month.

Effects on the Intending Intruder:

OOC:  This should be written up on a NC and somehow communicated to intending intruders so they can play out the effects

As an intending intruder approaches the protected dwelling, they may feel a sudden sense of unease or discomfort, as if an invisible barrier is preventing them from getting closer. They may experience hesitance or doubt about their intentions, feeling as though they are being watched or warned away. Any attempts to bypass the protection may be met with unforeseen obstacles or setbacks, like tripping on their own feet, stepping on their shoelace, tripping over the threshold, banging their head on a window sash, etc.  If they do not retreat once inside they will perceive an odor so bad that will make them nauseous, bad enough to cause them to gag and or vomit uncontrollably until they leave.  Covering their nose won’t help since the odor is magical and not real, and only they can perceive it.

What does this Charm do? 

Protection against vampire glamour/compelling

Ingredients and Items

• a piece of jewelry ring/bracelet/necklace etc 

• Choose a stone, locket, trinket, or charm to add to the jewelry (Stones have different meanings.. one that is for protection will be stronger. Example: Hematite

• Nettle dried or fresh leaves

• Angelica - seeds

NOTE: You need enough of the herbs and essence of moonlight to fully submerse the stone and piece of jewelry 

• Fire

Ritual/Instructions:

1. Prepare your space (draw a pentagram or circle on the ground) 

2. Place the candles North. South, East, west positions

3. Grind the two herbals up and add the essence of moonlight. Place the mixture over here and bring to a boil. (If you are making this charm for a specific person, the personal item should be added to this mixture)Push your magic and say the chant (Incantation 1)  over the herbs. 

4. Remove the mixture from the fire and set it in the middle of the 4 candles.  

5.  Put the stone into the setting. Wrap the silver cord around the jewelry piece and stone.  Then place the piece into the bowl of the other mixture. 

6. Push your magic into the circle and the bowl of mixture. 

7. Say incantation #2

8. Allow the mixture to cool completely before removing the charm. 

9. Carefully remove the jewelry and untie the silver cord. Wrap the charm into the brown paper with twine. (the less touching the better) 

OOC: include a notecard with the charm that gives its limitation and how it needs to be recharged

Incantation #1

Limitations

• It must be made on the full moon

• Must be recharged after it has been used or during the full moon each month by the phral that created it. 

• Is a power-blocking charm and cannot be used with another power-blocking ability

Important Notes: 

This can be done in the form of a tattoo sigil. The tattoo ink will be added to the herbal ingredients and infused with magic. The tattoo will have the same limits as the charm. * See Sigil basics for more information. 

What does this Charm do? 

Waterborn can provide a personal object (lock of hair, nail clippings, etc) to aid a Phral in creating a charm that will grant 1 non-Waterborn being the ability to remain underwater for up to 24 hours. 

Ingredients and items

Ritual/Instructions:

1. Place fresh ingredients in a pot and boil them.  (you can be doing this while you are waiting for the moonlit Stone crystals to finish. 

2.  Once the arrowhead plant and lily pab begin to wilt remove from heat and water.  Pull plants from the water (set water to the side.) 

3. Grind down the plants to make a consistency of a paste. Add in waterborn scales and grind them into the mixture.     

4. Set the paste aside and melt the wax, one melted add the paste to the melted wax and form into a ball. 

5.  Use the Moon Stone crystal as a small rolling pin and roll the wax mixture flat.

6. Laying the Crystal across the wax mixture begin to push magic into and recite the incantation. (this can be more successful if done in the moonlight)  Say then Incantation

7. Roll the mixture back up into a small bowl. press into the jewelry or stone. (the jewelry piece is a locket that can press the wax inside.

8. Wrap the silver chain around the jewelry or the stone. repeat the Incantation.

What does it do? 

Phral may be able to create a sigil/charm that protects the wearer from Incanation.  

Ingredients:

• Sanctified Sage Leaves *See ingredients

• Celestial Salt Crystals - Harvest salt under the light of a crescent moon, invoking celestial energies.

• Angelic Essence Oil - Combine essential oils of frankincense, myrrh, and lavender, symbolizing divine protection.

• Sacred Iron Shards - Gather small shards of iron from a sacred location or a place with spiritual significance.

• Moonlit Quartz Crystal 

• Jewelry or a token that can be carried. 

Instructions:

1. Prepare a Sacred Space:                                    -  - ---Choose a quiet, sacred space where you can perform the spell without disruptions.

• Cleanse the area with sanctified sage smoke to remove any negative energies.

2. Arrangement of Protective Elements:

• Place the Sanctified Sage Leaves in a circle, creating a barrier against malevolent forces.

• Sprinkle Celestial Salt Crystals within the sage circle, forming a protective boundary.

3. Anointing with Angelic Essence:  Mix the Angelic Essence Oil and gently anoint yourself, focusing on the pulse points (wrists, neck, and forehead).

4. Embedding Sacred Iron Shards:  Scatter the Sacred Iron Shards around the outer edge of the sage and salt circle. 

5. The Charged Moonlit Quartz Crystal: Once charged, place the crystal at the center of the protective circle.

What does it do? 

A stronger sigil may completely suppress an Incarnate if possession has already occurred, but do note, that not all charms work, and in a moment of weakness or if the charm starts to wear off, the Incarnate may dispose of it, or cut it off during the full moon (force shift).

Instructions:

1. Begin the ritual at dusk on the night of the full moon, in a quiet and consecrated space.

2. Create a protective circle using the Blessed Salt, ensuring it is large enough for the caster to work comfortably within.

3. Place the White Sage at the cardinal points of the circle and ignite them, allowing the sacred smoke to purify the space.

4. In a small cauldron, combine a pinch of Moonstone Dust, a few drops of Silver Thistle Oil, a small piece of Dragon's Blood Resin, and a drop of the Essence of Angelica Root.

5. Set the cauldron over a flame, allowing the ingredients to meld and release their energies.

As the elixir simmers, recite the incantation with conviction:

6. Stir the concoction clockwise with a silver spoon, focusing on the intent to suppress the demon's malevolence.

7. Once the elixir has absorbed the magical energies, carefully extinguish the cauldron flame.

8. Allow the elixir to cool, and then transfer it to a vial or container for later use.

Dragon's blood and moonstone bright,

Usage:                                                                                         To suppress a demon, anoint a protective charm or talisman with a small amount of the Abyssal Reprieve Elixir. Wear the charm or keep it close to the demon's presence. The elixir's magic will create a calming field, suppressing the demon's hostile tendencies and allowing for a more peaceful encounter or resolution. Remember to renew the charm regularly to maintain its effectiveness.

Usually a piece of jewelry, this charm will mask the wearer’s scent from other supernaturals, preventing them from being identified.  This does not take away scent, but MASKS it (think of what you are masking it with!)

5. Introduce the Silver Mist Droplets drop by drop, letting the mist intertwine with the clover and orchid elements.

6. Carefully mix the Willow Tree Ash into the composition, symbolizing the protective barrier against supernatural recognition.

7. Speak the incantation in a soft, melodic tone while gently waving a wand carved from moonlit oak over the concoction:
