Spring Equinox Spells

This Bluebell plant has been grown and infused with magic during the Spring Equinox by Phral that live in the Ashmore. 

What does it do? 

The bluebell is said to be a fairy flower and in legend can cause a person to lose their way. With a little help from magic, this can be done using this flower. 

Ingredients

• Bluebell seeds

• soil

• flower pot

• water

Instructions 

1.  Plant the seeds into a flower pot on the day of the Equinox. 

2. Add a little water 

3. Focus your magic and recite the incantation to grow

Note: The flower will grow instantly on the Equinox 

INCANTATION TO GROW 

On this equinox, when nature's balance reigns,

I invoke the magic in these verdant plains.

With each word spoken, let power unfurl,

To grow a flower that mystique shall whirl.

From soil rich and earth's embrace,

Rise, Bluebell with elegance and grace.

Bathed in sunlight, kissed by dew,

What to do with the plant?

When ready to use one flower is picked and boiled in fresh water for thirty minutes. Add two tablespoons of nutmeg to the liquid (in large amounts can cause hallucination). No Incantation is needed as the plant was already infused. 

How to use it? 

Put the liquid into a small container or even a water gun.  When needed turn and spray or throw the liquid into the face of the person you intend to use it on. 

This will cause the person to lose track of you for 15 minutes (3 post rounds) It is more effective if the liquid gets in their eyes or mouth. 

How long with it last? 

This magic will run out by the next full moon or if all the flowers run out you will not be able to simply regrow more. 

How much will it make?  

For the next month or until all the petals are gone, this Bluebell plant will allow the user to make up to three small potions to use (there are three blooming plants). 

Note: As these plants were infused on the Equinox, they cannot be simply regrown. Due to the magic in this plant, it will not start to wilt or die until after the full moon has passed unless it is recharged on the full moon.

What to do with the plant? 

Infusing it with magic boosts its effectiveness in protection bags, potpourri bowls, and charms by 15%. 

How to use it?  

1, Cut up or dry the flowers for charms, gris gris bags, or potpourris.

2. Extract the essence to make oils or infusions for sprays, balms, or lotions.

3. Use as much or as little as you want, but remember that the blooms will eventually run out.

How much will it make? 

You can use this enchanted plant until the next full moon or until the flowers are gone.

This Cowslip Flower makes a wine that if drank will cause a person to reveal a secret.

But not just a bloom, a beacon of might,

To ensnare the lost in the shroud of night.

Let its petals shimmer with mystical glow,

Leading astray wherever they may go.

What to do with the Plant?

To make Cowslip Wine, follow these steps:

Ingredients:

• 3 gallons of Water

• 6.5 cups of Sugar

• 1 tablespoon of Yeast

Instructions on making wine:

1. Dissolve the sugar in the water by boiling it for 2 hours until the liquid reduces by half.

2. Remove from heat and stir in the flowers. Let it stand for 48 hours.

3. Strain the mixture through a fine sieve to obtain a smooth liquid and stir in the yeast.

4. Age the mixture in a barrel for a month before bottling it. Optionally, you can add more sugar at this stage.

How to use it? 

Serve a glass of wine to the person from whom you want to elicit a secret. Within five minutes of finishing the glass, they will feel compelled to share a secret.  (Only one secret is revealed per glass of wine ) 

Note:  Depending on the conversation, you may coax them into revealing the desired secret, but there is no guarantee that they will tell you what you want to hear, and you may just hear a random secret, like how they have a random compulsion to save their toenail clippings in a jar!

How much wine will it make? 

For the next month or until all the flowers are gone, you can make Cowslip Wine or a Secret Potion from these flowers. Each nine flowers yield about two glasses of wine. The potion induces a strong urge to share a secret, whether it's about oneself or someone else. The plant yields enough for four glasses of wine.
