Having worked in a technology-rich environment involving 1:1 laptop integration in an educational setting since 1993, I am a very proficient user of technology. As part of my experience, I am very familiar with the process of learning new technology tools and applications. Countless times I have shown myself capable of 'figuring out' new technology skills in an efficient manner so as to keep up with an ever-changing technology landscape.
Though not a computer geek, I quickly became the go-to person for overseeing the use of technology at Brewster because of my ability to provide teachers with what they needed for technology. When new technology applications were being introduced, I was the person on the front lines managing the implementation of this new resource.
For a partial description of the specific technology skills I am proficient with, see the list below:
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Apple Suite of tools (Pages, Numbers, Keynote, iMovie)
Google Apps for Education Suite
Database management (guided the development of a homegrown school management database)
LMS usage (Moodle, Canvas, Schoology)
QuickTime Player, Screencastify (screen capture)
Diigo (social bookmarking)
Inspiration (concept mapping)
EdPuzzle (video editing for student use)
