Skin Processing

No words can explain how difficult yet amazing this experience had been. It was truly inspiring to see how much labour is involved in processing skin from deer to rawhide. Here are photos of the steps involved in creating a rawhide which include defleshing, soaking in lime, dehairing, dyeing, stretching and drying, subsequent removal of the skins to be stored. This was an unforgettable experience and I have gained skills which could even save me one day. Truly awesome.
