In this section you will find the two internships I have been a part of thus far during my two year program. Over the summer of 2017, I had the pleasure of attending the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, Canada to work in the glass, ceramics, and stone lab. I had been introduced to various departments in the museum in a collaborative effort to understand the materials to be treated and come up with a proper treatment plan for each individual object. A detailed description of the treatments and my time there can be seen here.
During the summer of 2018, I had the greatest pleasure to split my internship at various institutions. For 10 weeks, I had worked with Balkan Heritage Field School by heading to Zakynthos, Greece and the archaeological site of Stobi in the Republic of Macedonia. Later during the summer, I attended the Canadian Museum of History to work in the objects conservation lab under the supervision of Emily Lin. More information about each of these experiences can be seen by clicking on the institutions or on the drop down menu above.
