The Ontario Archaeology Society held a symposium in Brantford, ON in November 2017 and it was addressing the 10 year since the release of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission report. A Nations United session was held on the Friday of the symposium with Indigenous heritage representatives and community members from across Ontario sharing their perspectives on the relationship between archaeologists and First Peoples. This proceeded with various talks presented by professionals who work at various institutes related to archaeology in Ontario. It was a very interesting symposium with a lot of thought and consideration for the First Nations people and archaeology.
