Eddie Brock was a reporter for the Daily Bugle, his job was on the line ever since Spider-Man captured the real scoop. Thoughts on ending his life, Eddie came in contact the alien Symbiote (who was rejected by Peter Parker) and then merge with the Symbiote because of their hatred of Spider-Man to become Venom.
