In the early 1980s, Nintendo introduced the first ever portable system known as the Game & Watch. For the mascot, we have Mr. Game & Watch, an amalgamation of the Game & Watch series. Mr. Game & Watch gained popularity in 2001 with Super Smash Bros. Melee. His move set is an combination of different moves from different other Game & Watch titles from Lion to Judgement.

Connection: Game & Watch and Pac-Man have been considered the pioneers of early video games. Game & Watch is the pioneer of handheld gaming while Pac-Man is the pioneer of arcade gaming. Both characters have also appeared side by side in the Super Smash Bros. series.
