It's Nintendo's poster boy, Mario. He has been saving Princess Peach from the tyrannical Bowser since 1985. He has traveled to many distant lands, from Dinosaur Island, to New Donk City, to the Great Big Galaxy. Not only that, Mario has done many other exciting feats such as being a doctor, playing numerous sports, gone go kart racing and even starred in his own movie (for better or for worse). He has been hailed a gaming icon for these accomplishments.

Connection: Mario and Luigi are the perfect definition of "brothers for life". While Luigi lives in Mario’s shadow from time to time, both bros. would look out for each other and save each other’s necks. They’ve been considered one of the best video game duos of all-time.
