lives in the fray
Name: Alexis Barrett
Eyes: Her eyes are a watery shade of dark hazel and are almond shaped. There is little gradient or variation in them, most of the flakes in her iris are different shades of the same colour, however in darkness they can appear deeper brown.
Hair Colour & Style: Alexis’ hair is midnight black and doesn't differ in gradients or styles. All her life she has had it cut short, just below the hairline and at the start of her neck. The strands are thin and lifeless and together look like a gloomy, many-legged spider, curling it's many legs round her head face defensively. Even so it looks presentable enough for the city she lives in, and Alexis makes sure to look after it well enough with shampoo every second day and a good brush every morning. Unfortunately though, even after a thorough wash it still barely manages to glisten even in the sharpest light.
Clothing/Accessories: Fashion is less than comfort is less than practicality is less than respectability – or as Alexis likes to remember it- F<C<P<R. That’s how she sets out her wardrobe and plans her outfits each day. Looking presentable is always top priority; so she dresses modestly and prefers dark shades of red, green and blue, normally trying to keep colour coordinated from her shoes to accessories. A normal outfit in her home city might consist of an olive green cardigan over a well pressed shirt and pair of long, straight trousers. All items are clean and ironed before she wears them, and with a trusty fold up umbrella they are normally quite dry too. Occasionally, so as to express her individuality, she might wear a slightly impractical head band or wear a few vintage rings, but all together, she dresses noticeably plain.
Two constants are her glasses and watch, both of which are extremely important for the practical aspects of her life, so she tries to keep presentable. Thin wirey spectacles, and a brown tauros skin analogue watch. Obviously she sheds layers in summer, although sometimes feels it difficult to expose her arms and legs after a year of keeping them safe and hidden. On the other side of the year, Winter, she in contrast has little trouble and wears a set with a pair of cotton gloves, that are visually very well worn; a woolly hat with a bobble, and a small, second hand scarf. Most of her clothes look well-worn because in Alexis’s opinion if they still serve their purpose then there isn’t any point in replacing them.
General Appearance: Simply, she looks like a typical gawky student that’s slightly too tall for a few things and slightly too weak for a lot of things. Nevertheless, her back is straight and head high with a signature stride that she normally starts when she is impatient or worried. When she was younger she used to take part in sports more, girls’ basketball and cricket most noticeably, she never seemed to accumulate much muscle and that paired with her high metabolism gives her the skinny, runner bean look.
Her skin is pale but not unnaturally so, because she likes to keep out of the sun out of worry she may burn. Her chin is pointed slightly and her lips are thin, hiding flawless teeth. Although she doesn’t wear earrings she tries to keep her ears pierced in case formal occasions. Concealer and tinted moisturiser is the only makeup she wears after pimples started appearing at thirteen years and after so much practice it’s hard to notice and many people are under the impression she doesn’t wear any.
Personality: Alexis doesn’t show or feel much emotion. She is straight faced and straight minded; every action is well thought out and driven by logic. She doesn’t like change, can’t adapt well and struggles to improvising but as long as everything goes as planned she can remain calm and confident without breaking her delicate demeanour. For this reason, she leaves very little to chance in her life. As well as that she is self-aware in all aspects of the word, knowing her capabilities and limitations physically, academically and most importantly, mentally.
Change is never a good thing for Alexis- everything is better when everything is the same and easy to understand. Changes that result of decisions she consciously makes scare her the most, whilst ones that she knows will happen in the future are intimidating. Fear of the unknown have probably subconsciously stopped her from making positive changes in her life, especially if she gets the idea to make friends or meet someone. People are hard to understand and using her parents as an example, the chance she’ll get hurt is too great to take others on. When decisions are forced in front of her suddenly, she retracts and avoids getting to the centre of the question, full of “what if?” questions and worry that whatever choice she’ll make will be the wrong one. Inevitable change, like the transition from secondary school to adult life or moving out her parents’ house are more daunting than anything. As long as she has time to plan out a response for all situations and outcomes, she can only hope that the actual result is one that bodes well for her.
Alexis has worked towards trying to fit in by studying the characteristics that a kind and respected person should theoretically have, but doesn’t have the baseline qualities that make people normal. Empathy in particular, she is lacking. She doesn’t understand emotional hurt and doesn’t make any attempts to comfort people if she sees them suffering because she hasn’t experienced pain in the way others have. Her extreme honesty makes this lacking trait much more obvious to people, sometimes scaring them off before they have a proper conversation. Truthfulness was something that was supposed to help people, and she picked up the habit if vocally expressing her irritation or criticism without realizing that if often wasn’t what the people around her wanted to hear. Even though she realized that others didn’t take kindly to her blunt openness she continued anyway after coming to the assumption that her emotion-free statements made a lot more sense than others’.
Despite her self-proclaimed awareness, she often ignores the deeper side of herself, locking away not only pain and anger but also passion and love. If anyone tries to unlock these emotions she either clams up defensively or goes offensive, letting loose of her emotions and shouting them out of her life despite knowing that they normally have good intentions. Alexis doesn’t want anyone to remind her how abnormal it is to not feel because ignoring her past problems have been working well for her so far and it’s too painful to start feeling again and risk not being in control any more.
Other than that she generally sticks to thinking about herself and staying away from others. People might call her selfish, but she simply doesn’t care about other people. Her region is a different matter though, and although she watches the news everyday mainly to have something to talk about if she needs to escape deep conversation, she is also mildly interested in government decisions and politics because it could affect her.
Alexis rarely feels wonder or bewilderment and hasn’t had the desire to travel aimlessly as other trainers may have; the idea of walking around “just to see the sites” seems to be a very weak motive to her. Even though she has taken a course in Pokémon training it was only to be a more well-rounded person as she doesn’t care anymore than most people about wildlife, except that it’s dangerous and Pokémon can be unpredictable. On other matters she has generally been influenced by the principles of their God, although for her knowledge is power, not a way to get closer to a deity. This was the reasons she had excelled and cared about her schooling so much. Out of habitude Alexis has also stopped eating foods unblessed by Mew.
Recently, with the freedom of finishing secondary school, trickles of stress have been leaking out of her self-made feeling volt and Alexis is restless to regain regularity in her life again.
History: The middle child of a working class family, even without unthoughtful parents it was probable Alexis wouldn’t have gotten a lot of attention. Neither of her mother or father were very responsible as parents and it was possible that the couple hadn’t even intended to have children. Alexis couldn’t chastise them for being lazy during her upbringing as she was sure that they had just been shy, even to their own children and so and busied themselves with work and selfishly avoided their offspring.
As child she of coarse didn’t know this and in her youngest years especially she saw noticeably a conflicted child. A lot of things she did reminded her of her relationship with her parents, mother especially. Her two older siblings were independent and kept their freedom to herself, and so she in turn didn’t look out for her younger twin brothers. Her father took long shifts at the factory, her mother cleaned the apartment and tried to stay away from everyone. Alexis was alone and spent many afternoons after school in her room, bored and by herself.
As she got older she developed different plans and schemes for her parent’s attention, giving up on the idea of affection. For a whole school term all homework went uncompleted and tests failed. Another time she almost jumped out of a tree but got afraid at the last moment. Gradually though, taking her older siblings as an example, she learned to appreciate the little she had and made a subconscious decision to avoid relationships because they could, like the one she was supposed to have with her parents, let her down.
Now there was a lot more time to make friends, as Alexis was less busy thinking up plans, yet she was wary of the idea. She at first reassured herself this wasn’t because of her parents but because soon they would be entering secondary education and friendships would be changing anyway Then when they got into secondary school she made no more effort to make friends there. The courses she took in secondary school were mainly academic, including the environmental science, politics, and economics, but also took some classes that she had enjoyed but had little experience in, which included Orchestra, where she learned to play the Violin, and Psychology, after feeling quite aware of her poor social life.
There were two extremes in her marks for psychology. Papers that required biology or cognitive based knowledge were the ones she was marked high on, whilst all papers on behaviour, emotion and stress were too difficult. During lessons about these subjects Alexis got angry and didn’t write down notes. Gradually though she took interest in these topics because she felt relieved that there were other people that also had emotive problems. One of her strongest memories though was the fierce rejection on a lesson about cold heartedness. Since then she has never felt such a fearsome sense of hate.
One of the units of psychology touched lightly upon religion and it’s cultural meaning so Alexis took it upon herself to broaden her awareness of herself and explore religion through the internet. Meuism intrigued her the most, she started visiting a Meudrisas out of curiosity. It wasn’t as if Mew was real, she had studied science long enough to think otherwise, but Alexis wanted to believe she was in the same way she wanted to be part of Meulan community. Their studious approach and generosity hooked her into becoming a meuist, soon volunteering to take classes for younger children on Sundays whilst also attending service and taking additional, practical courses on first aid and computing.
Even though during all this time her parents rarely cared or were present, their influence was still there because Chandra’s coldness manifested in several different ways. She didn’t want to leave anything up to chance anymore. It was much easier and safer to take responsibility for all options and make sure everything turned out perfect. This was mainly noticeable in projects in school, needless to say she wasn’t a team player. People started to grow distaste for Alexis with her true yet criticizing ways and her lack to empathize.
School was unusually difficult for Alexis because of her Violin playing. She had gotten to the stage where she understood how to play all notes and recite songs perfectly but couldn’t produce any songs on her own. Originally she had taken the subject because she thought that orchestra music was beautiful and she tried to channel that appreciation into music. According to her teacher “appreciation” was too shallow an emotion and Alexis was left following what other students said, knowing that for once, they were right and she was wrong.
Whilst secondary school was ending, Alexis made a surprise discovery. At first she was wary, it as something she hadn’t considered, but after one Sunday service she considered the possibility that she may have Precognitive abilities. It unnerved her, science never seemed to understand the subject very well, but she had seen plenty of Psychics in the Meudrisas so she chased up the issue. It was never anything obvious, which took her a long time to notice. Alexis could guess the cards people had before they were dealt, the words or emotional reaction people would have after she said something, even, on rare occasions, predict the minute rain would fall on an overcast day. It could still be written off as luck but Alexis didn’t like to leave anything to chance and these “predictions” were always accurate. She had no idea if anyone else in her family had this ability but didn’t have the chance to find out- final tests were coming up.
Her marks were great, except for orchestra, and she received the highest grade for politics, math and Psychology. Alexis suspected that her grades in psychology were mainly based on the science aspects. She had already put an application into GSUC, and was accepted. She hadn’t chosen what degree she would take and was torn between which elective to take. Politics was the subject she did best in, math was the most stable option, Psychology was the closest thing she had to a passion. Uncertainty is something Alexis hates, and burning questions regarding her psychic abilities made her all the more confused. With reluctance, she decided to take a gap year and travel to Evaline temple to have a professional assess her skills. Having taken a Pokémon training course already at the Meudrisas, she got her license easily and started on her journey.

Name: Dawson Westbrook
Appearance: The man's spiky brown hair is his signature. Lots of time and hair gel goes into his look. Dawson is well-muscled and could certainly be described as built. He can often be found working out to keep in peak physical condition. His hair gives him a couple extra inches of height on a good day, and, as such, he seems to think this validates his being 6'1" when people ask.
The man's almond-shaped eyes are a piercing blue and rarely reveal much of his inner thoughts. Dawson's face is, ninety-nine percent of the time, expressionless. Even if the heavens were to open up, and God himself came down to tell the man a joke, it's unlikely that he'd earn much more than a twitch. Dawson is rarely found without his fur-hood jacket and sharp black suit. He doesn't own much else by way of clothing. After all, he spends his life working.
His eyes are an ice blue, though it can be said that they darken as the day goes on. He looks his age, though that's not to say he looks old. To expand further, he no longer looks like a boy. The man is strong of jaw and within his eyes and the lines of his face, lie maturity. His actual height, as opposed to his perceived height, is a stellar 5'11".
Personality: Adaptable - It can be said that the young man is quite the adaptable sort. One may think, well, aren't we all? Dawson, however, is adaptable in the sense that little fazes him. He tends to take everything with a grain of salt, and assume it's for the best. When disaster strikes, he's one of the ones handling it in a calm-manner. I.e. he's the guy to have on your team if you're prone to freaking out in the face of imminent danger. He's unafraid of change, or difficult decisions. He tends to rely on logic, and, so far, it's steered him down the right path.
Agreeable - Dawson will rarely, if ever, stop someone from doing something. He minds his own business, giving others the impression that he's the agreeable-sort. Truth is, Dawson prefers to only have to worry about himself. While he's pleasant, and may even surprise someone with an intelligible conversation, it might be taking it a step too far to say that his company is desirable. Dawson is plenty happy to send people on their way once his kindness has run out. A man of few words, that's precisely what he is.
Considerate - If someone's in a jam, regardless of whether or not it requires some sacrifice on his part, Dawson is likely to lend aid. Most wouldn't expect him to be the giving-type, and yet a part of him feels like it's his responsibility to look out for people and Pokemon, both. The young man has a sense of duty, that helps him to feel like maybe, just maybe, he belongs. His actions have proved that he is capable of selflessness. What with his being so eager to help those in need, it's no surprise that it's nearly cost Dawson his 'loner' reputation, to which he has grown fond of.
Hard-working - All Dawson does is work, devoted completely to his job. As an investigator, the only place he ever feels at home is his home. The young man would work himself to death if given the opportunity, not seeming to understand the concept of an 'off-button.' Loving to make things difficult for himself in hopes that someday someone will come back and tell him that his efforts have saved their life, Dawson puts his heart and soul into every investigation he polices. The furthest thing from a quitter, Dawson is the shining example of a go-getter.
Patient - As much as the man may mentally snipe in his mind as he becomes frustrated, outwardly, he is Mr. Patient. He will sit there for as long as it takes, just to allow someone to get whatever is wrong off of their chest. He enjoys silence, which is what most will gain with Dawson by their side. He's a listening ear, and little else. When he thinks of something worthwhile to say he'll say it, problem is that he rarely finds something worth saying. His unhelpful thoughts are never voiced, and he does his best not to think them, though at times it can be difficult. In short, his measure of patience in every aspect of his life is noteworthy.
Aggressive - After all that's been ascertained about the cop, it comes as a surprise when people realize that there's a side of him that is purely... primal. Aggression has always been something that Dawson has struggled with, and yet, thankfully, it rarely rears it's ugly head. In the face of violence, the young man is quick to turn the tables and get his fight on. Having spent the majority of his childhood defending others, it is unsurprising that he continues to do so even into his late teens. Dawson is unwilling to allow unjust actions to take place. There comes a point where his anger turns into a blind rage, one that he can't reason away with the excuse of being protective.
Stubborn - If there's one thing that he's best known for, it's his penchant to be stubborn. Dawson is unlikely to take advice that he doesn't want to follow. Nor does he ask for advice, since he prefers to do things his own way. This involves being unafraid to strike out, or have made a mistake. The man will generally own up to his own mistakes, while not necessarily being proactive in terms of correcting them. He would much prefer to move on instead of going back to fix something that's done and over with.
Untidy - The young man’s living space, while not unclean, is untidy. He is far from organized, and tends to leave his possessions strewn about the place. Whomever he lives with will inevitably have to deal with this fact. Dawson cleans up for no man, and expects his things to be left alone. He doesn't have anything of particular value, and so he's never been worried that someone may steal the things he leaves lying around. The world must deal with his messiness!
Vague - Likely the most irritating thing about Dawson is that he is very, very vague. He says as little as possible, and therefore leaves out important details. He expects others to be able to read his body language, rather than him having to say anything. He'd much prefer that others do the same, but he's well-aware that people like to talk. The cop resorts to many a "yes" and "no," and tends to leave it at that. If people prefer a two-sided conversation with dialogue, Dawson is not the guy.
History: There's not a lot of history to tell for a boy that has no memory before the age of fourteen. He recalls being placed in a foster-home after his accident, that, from what he was told, had killed both of his parents. The whole thing was, incidentally, a cover-up. He knows that, and yet hasn't yet gained up the courage to look into it. He tried to do some digging in high school, but never came up with anything substantial.
As a boy, Dawson was a bit of a troublemaker to begin with. He stayed out late, was always drinking with his friends, and, at sixteen, took up smoking. He, thankfully, never got himself a record. It wasn't long before the young man’s typical teenage hobbies came to an end. They wound up in the wrong part of town, at the wrong time, and he'd decided to mouth off when he had nothing at all to help him fight-save his own two fists. One of the younger kids in his group was kicked to death.
It was a few months after that Dawson decided he was going to be a cop. After said decision was made, he never turned back. He went to the nearest lab, while he was still in-school, and got his first Pokémon so that he would have a partner to watch his back. The shiny Charmander proved to be a fair partner indeed. When he entered the Police Academy, he worked himself harder than he ever had before.
He graduated, thankfully; his hard work having paid off. He was handed a badge, a gun and a Poké Ball. Inside of said Poké Ball was his secondary partner: Growlithe. And then it came to be, when he broke up a Pokemon-mill where multiple Pokemon were forced to live in small cages and breed continuously, that he found himself with a new Eevee. It had practically been shoved at him by one of his fellow officers. To get the guy off of his back, he took the Pokémon.
He worked towards becoming an Investigator, a job that would mean much more when being sent out to do fieldwork. He wanted to put away the worst of the criminals by tracking them and taking them down. Once he was promoted to the position of Investigator, at the age of twenty-three, he never looked back. He's been satisfied with his job, more or less, for the past year.

Name: Tori Hunter
Appearance: Long, relatively straight, red hair falls down her back in waves. She rarely ties it up, or does much of anything with it other than allowing it to grow and run wild. She has some wave to her locks, giving her a most natural, freshly dolled-up, appearance. In truth, she isn't the type of girl who goes crazy on make-up and petty aesthetics. She's comfortable enough in her own skin to settle for her pallid face, and copper-coloured eyes.
Slight of build, the girl has done a fair share of modelling in her day. Long of leg, and fit as a fiddle, she values health and exercise. Standing at an impressive height of 5'8", she's unlikely to grow much taller. While strict on her personal exercise regime, she's found that it's payed off in terms of her stamina and day to day energy-level. In her younger years she would often get teased for her sickly appearance, and inability to engage in physical activity. Now, she can run, and play sports, just like every other teen her age. The majority of her features are considered small. Her button-nose, elegant hands, and size six feet, make her feel as if she's always going to look like a kid as opposed to a grown-woman.
It may seem as if she dresses to impress, but, in reality, the majority of her wardrobe consists of free clothes she takes away from photo-shoots. She prefers to wear a soft, form-fitting hoodie, and a comfortable pair of sweat pants when she can reasonably get away with it. She loves pajama's, and anything warm and fuzzy. She often has a hard time getting, and staying, warm. She's not afraid to wear pink and lighter tones. She likes pink-even on boys. Purple, however, is her all-time favourite colour.
Personality: Stubborn: Tori is incredibly stubborn, far too used to having her parents try to dictate her life. She doesn't take well to unwanted advice and prefers to make decisions on her own. Independent to the nth degree, the majority of people tend to think she's a snob, or has a bad attitude. In reality, she's tired of being scrutinized by everyone she comes across. She wants to prove that she can be successful, or her own, even if that means disappointing others. As much as she hates to be a disappointment, she's finally come to understand that it's necessary in order to get her way. She continually finds herself asking, "if I'm not living for me, then who am I living for?"
Fearful: She can't help but feel as if no one she encounters is real. People pretend to be someone else all of the time in favour of gaining recognition, or obtaining popularity. Tori, on the other hand, has only ever wanted to discover who she truly is-who she's meant to be. She's afraid that once she discovers who the real her is, she won't like that person. She already has a hard enough time liking what she calls her "transitioning" self. It's the person that she figures she's stuck with before finally becoming the her she's meant to evolve into. She's far more afraid of what she thinks of herself over what others think of her, and yet it hurts her all the same to realize that she doesn't have very many people in her life who want to be around her. Her greatest fear, essentially, is being unlovable.
Sincere: The girl means what she says, rarely ever found telling a lie. No, if anything, she suffers from being too honest. She speaks her mind, even if that mind tends to get her into trouble every now and again. She doesn't want to feel fake, or as if the person she's showing the world is a simulated individual. If people can't be bothered to hear what she has to say, then she, in turn, can't be bothered with them. She's tired of feeling as if she's wasting her breath on those that have high-expectations of her. (Her parents and employers, namely.) Her sincerity shows in her body language and physical expressions, making it difficult not to take her seriously.
Indecisive: Unable to decide whether or not she wishes to be a Pokémon trainer, a breeder, or pursue a career in modelling/acting, Tori has never been more confused in her life. Struck with frequent indecision, the young woman has been cruising through her life without any real feeling of purpose. She loves her Pokémon, more than anything, though she wishes, sometimes, that she had true friends to confide in. She's struggling to do, and be, everything all at once. The trainer, the breeder, the model, the actress-she fights to be all of these things and more. She wants to accomplish everything that her heart desires, and yet, in doing so, she's lacking in giving the aforementioned tasks her all. She needs to pick between one or two, and yet she just can't... not yet. She doesn't want to have to give anything up in order to get ahead. She knows that she'll have to, eventually, which will mean either letting down all of the people in her life (officially) or her Pokémon. She needs to commit to her future plans if she wants to be successful, which she well knows. Commitment has always been an issue for her, in every aspect of her life.
Depressed: Terribly depressed, and pessimistic, Tori feels as if nothing will work out. All she wants is to be the best at everything she sets to accomplish, and yet, at present, she can't help but feel that she's the worst. She doesn't see anything that she's done in the past that she's not embarrassed by, or ashamed of. She doesn't believe herself pretty enough to be a model, or talented enough to be an actress. She doesn't believe herself to be worthy enough of her Pokémon’s love and trust to be a trainer, nor does she consider herself to be knowledgeable enough to be a proper breeder. For years she's greatly undervalued her own self-worth, which is something she desperately needs to work on before her insecurities destroy her. Like many a young woman, she dreams of falling in love, even if she'd never admit to it.
History: From the minute she was born, with her head of red hair and green eyes, Victoria was put before a camera. Photo-shoots turned into commercial gigs, and commercial gigs turned into film appearances. Always in the limelight, Victoria never had a true childhood. While other kids were off playing and having fun, she was stuck rehearsing lines and patiently posing. Her modelling and acting career cut into her school-time, and so her parents decided to home school her in order to keep her on a tight schedule.
It was difficult to make friends in the industry, seeing as everyone was in direct competition with one another. As a child she was scrutinized in regards to her appearance, from a younger age than most would believe. Therefore, it was at a young age that Tori developed depression. The requirement to attain perfection at every turn was too much for her, as it would be for any child growing up in the eyes of the public. And so, she came to resent her parents, blaming them for her substandard life.
It came to be that she couldn't go out in public without being recognized and so she spent the majority of her time in her room trying to catch up on her overdue school work. She didn't want fame and yet no one could seem to understand why. Aspiring to get into an Ivy League College to show that she valued her education, Tori's parents made it very clear that they wanted her to give up on that particular dream. "Can't you take anything that we've worked so hard for seriously?" Their famous last words. As a minor, the young woman had little say in the matter.
It was during one of her many, many, photo-shoots that day that she was made to pose with a rare Pokémon. Said Pokémon, a shiny Absol, took a liking to the girl near immediately. He had quite a way of showing his favouritism, and that was by singling out the person of his affection in a jealous-manner. He didn't want anyone else going near her. It came to the point that the photographer who had acquired the Pokémon became rather fed-up with him. He didn't want to return to his Poké Ball, nor did he seem to want anything to do with the man that was his supposed trainer. And so, the photographer gave the Absol - Ares - to the girl.
Tori's parents objected to Ares, mostly because they considered him a waste of her time. He needed to be taken care of, and seen to, and-in her parents opinion-that simply wouldn't do. So, behind her back, they tried to get rid of the Pokemon. When she discovered their nasty plot, she packed her things, Pokémon included and ran away in the middle of the night. At the age of eighteen, she realized she didn't have to put up with her parents any longer. She had been doing a lot of reading about training, and Pokémon and discovered that she'd like to become a breeder. Nurturing Pokemon felt like the perfect job for her, especially since it didn't involve people. At the same time, the idea of challenging the region’s Gyms was terribly exciting. After everything she'd been through, she thought that an adventure may be rewarding.
It was at a breeders’ convention that she spotted two female Eevee being advertised for sale. The pair of them, while young, looked as if they were in great condition. She loved how much they seemed to care for one another and she worried that someone else might try to separate them. And so, she stood by a while and watched as person after person stepped up and inquired about them. It was when one older woman stepped up and made an offer on the one, that Tori heard herself speaking out. She made an offer-higher than the asking price even-for the pair of them. The man, more of a hobby-breeder than a professional, accepted the offer immediately. With the two Eevee in tow, Tori decided that it was high-time she began her travels.

Imari Mizutani (Mizutani Imari; 伊万里水谷)
Imari is a fifteen-year-old girl who lives beside her childhood friend and neighbour, Red Ketchum. Her home life is generally pretty good. She lives with her father, Yuki, who is Professor Oak’s head Aide. They have a nice father-daughter relationship going on, but don’t speak of the incident where Imari’s mother walked out on them, after being booted from the Champion’s position and forming an evil team. As such, Karin can no longer support herself legally.
Her goal is to train the Pokémon she calls her family and stop evil spreading throughout Kanto. The reason behind why she’s training her team is so she can protect the people she loves and their families so that no one has to suffer. She has shoulder-length cobalt blue hair and amber eyes which are full of life. Imari wears a sleeveless grey tank top and a red skirt. Her footwear is a pair of red slip on shoes.
Imari is an overly friendly, innocent girl who makes Red feel awkward. Her naivety will land her in trouble from people who want to take advantage of her, not to mention most people don’t like clingy behaviour and will feel uncomfortable around Imari. However, she is adventurous and reliable, often helping Red with battles if she thinks he needs it. She is also observant, but can be picky about chores.
Voice: Imari has the voice of Mami (PMMM/English) and Krulcifer (Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut/Japanese)
Imari’s Current Pokémon:
Dratini: Imari’s best friend and starter. Imari met Dratini when Professor Oak mistakenly requested a shipment of Dragon types as starter Pokémon. While most Dragons grudgingly give their loyalty, Dratini was an inquisitive member of her species, escaping the Poké Ball that had confined her and began searching the lab.
Imari had been about to choose an official starter when she caught sight of the little Dragon. Dratini took an instant liking to Imari, creating a ‘sisterly’ bond between them. Dratini helped Imari in some of her Gym battles and against rogue agents who appeared in Viridian. Her bond with Imari will make her the strongest on Imari’s team, caring for her a great deal and disliking it when Imari gets hurt.

Appearance (must be more than four coherent sentences): Raven stands at about 155 cm tall. She has long vibrant black hair that flows smoothly down the back of her head to just past waist-level. She has slightly spaced bangs on her head that cover the majority of her forehead. Raven has amber coloured eyes. Raven normally wears a simple uniform from her Pokemon school. Which consists of a navy blue blazer jacket over a green plaid coloured mini skirt, black leggings and black shoes that are a fairly round shape. She carries a black-blue coloured purse, which contains most of the items she carries.
Personality (must be more than four coherent sentences): Raven is described as mostly calm and quiet. She doesn't often speak unless she needs to. She's almost never rude to others and always is polite to trainers, even if she defeats them in battle or if they defeat her. She has deep respect for very strong trainers such as the Elite Four. She doesn't like immature behaviour and doesn't approve of abusing Pokemon. She is highly critical on making the smart decision in battle and is intelligent in terms of playing her battles, instead of just going in without a plan. She believes in her Pokémon, though that's often not expressed during battle. She will always thank her Pokémon upon victory and take good care of them.
History (must be more than four coherent sentences): Raven is the daughter of Reukra of the Torren region, as he married a woman of the Dragonwood clan and took on her name, instead of vice versa. As such, Raven knew of the cults that had been taken down by the new Augur. She had been an assistant to the Professor, before Reukra decided he wanted to experience life in a new region, at which point he and his family moved to Johto. Once there, she continued being an assistant to Professor Elm and her father gave Elm the three remaining Delta starters he had. At the same time, he worked on a project of his own. Raven received her first Pokémon seven years later, at the age of fourteen, which coincided with Reukra finishing his project. She finished her work experience with Elm and then left Newbark Town to travel. The first Pokémon she was officially given was an Eevee by Cynthia of the Sinnoh region. She later caught more Pokémon as her adventures continued.

She also has a pendant hanging around her neck with a violet jewel inside. And with her she also carries a small backpack that she keeps most of her items in.
Personality: Akiara carries a gentle and loving personality towards everyone she meets especially her Pokémon. She gets scared easily of dangerous situations; however, if Pokémon are involved, she will immediately and recklessly attempt a rescue with no thoughts of her safety. She always has a weakness for Dark type Pokémon as she had once protected a litter of Poochyena from a swarm of Spearow before their mother Mightyena got her pups to safety. During battles, she becomes headstrong and is always happily cheering on her Pokémon whether they win or lose. She always loves and respects trainers who treat their Pokémon with care.
History: Akiara grew up as a little girl always watching Pokémon battle tournaments on television. This gave birth to her biggest desire at becoming the best Pokémon trainer she could be. She always promised herself that upon receiving her first Pokémon she would never leave its side. To prepare for this she would help her family at their bakery day after day even volunteering to go into the wild for certain ingredients. While night after night she studied as much as possible as on how to raise Pokémon, something she desperately wanted to put into practice. One day she found an injured Deino while on her way home from shopping and spent sleepless nights worriedly caring for him. Finally, when the Deino recovered, he chose to stay with Akiara. And when the day finally came, he accompanied her on her journey to repay her kindness where the two have been friends ever since.
