Plot
All 4 kids are contacted by an entity called "Norse", a Super AI hailing from a far away virtual world. The AI selects all 4 kids for their "unique experiences" and equips them with partners and digivices. The AI constantly reassures the Tamers that the Digital World is only a simulation, currently abused by Humans posing as Holy Digimon in order to control a virtual world, despite how much the kids grow close to their partners.
Their main opponent could be HolyAngemon Priest Mode, who leads a cross-continental army controlling the Digital World. However, through evolution and befriending other Digimon, the team starts to see the Digital World as more than a simulation, and after near defeat at the hands of HolyAngemon, grow a large attachment to their partners. Over this journey, each gains greater courage and belief in oneself and one another, slowly opening up and facing issues that have plagued and bothered them.
When they return to the city, they discover that their partners still exist, yet Norse is nowhere to be seen. It's revealed that Norse used the Tamer's vulnerable personalities and lives in order to overthrow the only force capable of crushing his rebellion, gaining an army from the Digimon with a larger distrust of humans thanks to the Chosen Children's accidental behavior.
They set out to the DW, freeing the other continents, as well as discovering the route to find Norse and reunite the Digital World. Norse's plan somewhat backfired, giving the team the strength and growth to fight back! I had also planned Norse to instead be human, a man seeking to use Digimon to overthrow governments and conquer the world, establishing a true Digital Connection unobtainable due to the halted research into the properties of Digital World.
Name: Mitsuki Robins
Gender: Female
Age: 12
Appearance: Mitsuki is on the tall side for a twelve-year-old, often leading others to think of her as older than her actual age. She is slender but athletic, as she's an avid baseball player. Her skin is light by nature, but she has a bit of a tan due to being outside for practice often. Her long hair is naturally black, but can appear a dark brown in the sunlight. It is generally left out, but Mitsuki always carries a hair tie to put it up in a high ponytail should the need arise.
Mitsuki is of half-Asian descent and this shows in her facial features. She doesn't use make-up on a daily basis as she feels she looks fine without, but may succumb to her mother's pleading to use it for special occasions at least. Her typical school clothing is heavily inspired by typical school uniforms, as her mother finds it important that she looks respectable when going to school. Though she claims to put up with it because she doesn't feel like putting effort into what she wears, she actually likes to wear cute clothes a lot.
Personality: Because Mitsuki lacked a defining father or a father figure in her life ever since her biological father left her early in her life, she was expected to become the mature "male of the house" in his place. While she takes things very seriously, she has a mischievous side to her, possibly as a means of keeping herself attached to the childhood she was never truly able to fully grasp. This manifests itself at times, often in the form of childish behaviour, especially when it comes to playing jokes on those she likes, to their disapproval. For the most part, however, she acts in a serious and concerned manner and will often sacrifice her own time and safety to help those in need.
Mitsuki is also very notorious for being creative with her work, and is often complimented for her intelligence in regards to specific situations and scenarios. There are times when she spaces out or stares intensely at one spot for long periods of time, but she commonly blames this on lack of sleep or the large piles of work she’s left to do; most of the time, she’s usually daydreaming. She also has a tedious habit of correcting people as well, or attempting to take a logical path of action, running on common sense rather than gut instinct; to some people, this is the biggest gear-grinder on the planet. As a reiteration, she’s always willing to help those she cares for, and shows this on the field of battle, usually taking the role of “tank” or “defender” in regards to her standpoint on how she commands her Digimon: that’s not safe to say that she can’t open up a can of ass-whooping on someone, either.
History: Her father left when she was four. Though she remembers nothing about him, she does have a faint memory of the two of them watching TV together, which she can barely recall. Growing up, Mitsuki didn't have many friends, possibly stunting some of her social skills.
Throughout most of her childhood, she looked after her younger sister who's probably a little too dependent on Mitsuki. Her mother was usually absent, so a lot of responsibility fell on Mitsuki's shoulders. She's really protective of her sister and she sees herself as a parental substitute to her, since her father's absent and her mother's busy. In a way, the younger's become slightly co-dependent on Mitsuki, as she cares so much about her.
Mitsuki's got a crippling fear of dogs ever since one attacked her sister when they were young. The incident reminds Mitsuki of her powerlessness and inferiority in this world and now she's terrified of dogs and canine-looking creatures. It's more about Mitsuki's self doubt and anxieties and the fact that dogs have very pointy teeth that makes her so scared of them.
She also loves meringues because that's what her mother makes her every day on her birthday; one of the only days of the year where she feels like her family is whole again.
Digivice: Gold D-Hack
Species: Leormon
Gender: Male
Appearance: Leormon
Personality: Being the fated partner to Mitsuki, Leormon's personality happens to compliment Mitsuki's rather nicely. Like his human, Leormon is a rather loyal Digimon with a rather large protective streak, willing to do anything and everything to make sure his pride is safe and healthy.
Able to act as an independent Digimon, not having to rely completely on Mitsuki for every command, Leormon has learned how to be as adaptive as his human counterpart. Able to make minute adjustments to his battle strategy in the heat of the moment in order to force the best outcome possible. Preferably his victory. He is perceptive enough to tell when an opponent is trying to be tricky, using his superior senses against those who wish to fool him. But this does not mean that Leormon refuses to listen to Mitsuki and just do his own thing. For a creature as capable as he is, Leormon is a surprisingly obedient Digimon, never hesitating to listen to Mitsuki whenever she commands him to do something. After all, with how smart and calculating she is in any situation, it would be stupid for him not to take her word as law.
Shockingly enough, the lion-esque Digimon can act exactly like a common housecat if he so desires. Playful during times of peace, constantly filled with an almost innocent curiosity about how things work and why, and he can be downright affectionate when he wants to be, Leormon is a rather cuddly kitten when he is relaxed. Which is quite often, to be honest. Where Mitsuki is a serious person, viewing the world through a tainted grey lens, Leormon prefers to see the brighter side of things. He's a positive Digimon, the kind who likes to see the glass half full. Where Mitsuki is active and always moving and intense, Leormon is a rather chill individual. He isn't quite what you would call lazy, but it's close enough for him to coax his human into relaxing from time to time for once.
However, as kind and loving towards Mitsuki as he is, Leormon is not a good Digimon by any definition. He is a sadistic, cruel creature who likes to see his prey suffer before finally putting an end to their misery. He takes pleasure in the pained gasps and agonized screams that he causes, his bloodthirsty nature refusing to simply let things be or allow even the barest of slights to slide. Leormon is entirely too merciless as well, and will not hesitate to end the lives of anyone he attacks. The only thing that is able to stop him is a command from Mitsuki, whose voice is able to pierce through the crimson haze that envelops his vision whenever he is hunting.
Truth be told, Leormon is an amoral being in general. He simply does not understand the concept of right and wrong, unable to comprehend why someone would think that something is good or bad just because of their personal views. His lack of understanding does not justify his actions in any way, it simply explains why. Leormon is a dark Digimon, constantly making frightening comments or cruel jokes as if it was the most normal thing in the world. It is a constant passive battle between both of their natures. His naturally volatile and violent nature egging on the darkest recesses of his human's mind without either of them really realizing it.
His manipulative tendencies makes every single encounter a battle of wits. Trying to make his opponents underestimate him. Overestimate him. Think of him as a friend. Think of him as nobody. Anything to get the advantage. All it takes is one slip up of his opponent and he has them mentally in his claws, ready to pounce on the advantage. His sly nature refusing to do anything else.
Leormon is a rather selfish Digimon, as well. He hates to share what he views as his and that is Mitsuki. He is disrespectful towards those who try to grow close to his human, knowing full well that they would rather "fix" her than accept her for who she is. Perfection, in his eyes. His attitude tends to be rather antagonistic when speaking to other humans or partners, not caring for them or their opinions of him in the slightest. Heck, to Leormon, they'd probably be more useful as a chew toy. After all, he doesn't really need any friends.
He has Mitsuki. What more would he ever want?

Name: Harley Lewis
Alias: Quiri
Gender: Male
Age: 13
Appearance: Usually seen wearing a crisp white blouse under a violet-ish plaid vest with very short shorts and thigh-high socks, Harley is often mistaken as a girl. This, in fact, is how he likes it to be; his voice is indistinguishable and his posture is well-trained to mimic that of a girl since an early age. Harley's wardrobe isn't just limited to the simple attire described above; he feels no shame in frilly dresses of all kinds and at times may wear something very suggestive, depending on his mood. He doesn't mind wearing guy clothes, but it's not often you see him in one.
Coming up to about five foot three, Harley leans towards the shorter end of his age group. He is a light build with slender limbs and possesses a tanless/white complexion from staying under the shade all the time. His weight isn't worth noting, since it's just average. What really strikes as peculiar is his hair, not just because his front and back hair is short while his side hair comes all the way down to his collarbone, but also because of the unnatural shade of violet hair with white tips. Last but not least, his eyes shine with sea-green, just like his father.
Whenever he leaves the house during the day, Harley carries around a parasol. The designs would change according to the attire he's wearing that day. In his purse, which also differs in design according to his attire, he carries around a sewing kit which would be the closest to a 'weapon' out of all his belongings; a notepad and writing tools; his phone and wallet; a camera; hair brush and tissues; spare shirt and bottoms folded neatly and compact enough to fit; and cookies. Mmmmm, cookies.
Personality: This cross-dresser isn't gender confused; no, if he is confronted and asked, he will say he's a guy with a straight face. Having said that he won't attempt to correct anyone who mistakes his gender. He's also used to the grim misunderstanding of him being gay, so don't bother to try and correct that either.
Vain and self-serving sums up Harley pretty nicely. Harley loves to look perfect [at least in his own view] at every moment of the day and in every way possible; whether it be eating at a fast food or at an exquisite restaurant, he keeps his posture high and well-mannered. He puts himself before others and would be willing to crush them all if it means he will get what he wants. He's not exactly unreasonable, though; Harley is capable of following rules and isn't one to enjoy the company of law enforcers upon him [e.g. police]. Well, at least not against him. He has little interest to random strangers and as long as you don't hit a nerve or something, he can be seen as your everyday indifferent cross-dresser.
Harley isn't one for violence mainly because it'll make a crease in his clothing. Instead, he tends to lash out with words and resort to cheap tricks behind the stage, such as blackmailing or picking at weaknesses of others. Of course, he does this with utmost secrecy to avoid anyone whom he knows he can't handle.
What he abhors above all [sans dirtying his attire] is being called by his real name. He won't snap and lash out or anything, but will make your life as miserable as possible. This abhorrance is basically evidence that he suffers from reality escapism.
Harley suffers from reality escapism; he wishes with all his heart to live somewhere that is different. Somewhere he won't be singled out for what he likes to wear, or be put down for not having the same view as anyone else. This might be why he was thrilled to hear of the Digimon incident a few years ago, and had sincerely hoped that the world they knew would completely change. All in all, he now sees Digimon as his salvation to escaping reality, and hopes to find a way into the Digital World.
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
History: Harley grew up with his father, Austin. He was once a hardworking businessman until his company went bankrupt; this was when Harley was only one year old. Since then, his mother became the breadwinner of the family, running multiple jobs day and night, coming home only to sleep and eat for a few hours. Due to the limited budget however, it was decided that Austin, the one who was unsuccessful at getting a new job and was always home, was to teach their only son education while Jennifer, Harley's mother, worked.
Harley's life wasn't exactly luxurious or free, since everything he owned was second-hand and cheap while having barely any money to spend or need to go outside, and only had his father's prized shoujo manga collection as reading materials to pass time. Now, Austin had a peculiar hobby of sewing cosplay outfits. Deciding it wasn't bad for another member of the household to know how to mend clothing, he passed on his skills of creating maid costumes and princess dresses from leftover fabric and tattered clothing remains as one of the mandatory subjects of homeschooling along with English and Math and all that. Then he proceeded to put them on Harley, saying it was a waste to throw them away.
The big change came when Harley was seven, when someone had seen him in his usual little cosplay outfit. they were very interested in buying and ordering various outfits and seeing it as an opportunity, Austin agreed to work on it. They were soon selling millions of outfits, and Harley had to help out whenever he can, leading them to open a small online shop as well. Their funds gradually increased, and Harley was able to see Jennifer at home more without a dreadfully tired face. By this point, Harley had accustomed to wearing the pretty sailor uniforms and dresses. He knew it wasn't befitting to his gender, but since his parents didn't oppose it, he kept them on.
The Lewis family struck crisis once again when they could afford to give Harley a chance to learn at a school [his parents strongly believed interacting with others is a necessary aspect of growing up]. First day back from school, Harley was a mess; a shoe deformed, clothes tattered, stuff gone. He didn't understand why he was bullied, but his parents realized what the problem was; his clothing. They were so used to the idea that they forgot how the community may react. It may have been fine since he was indistinguishable to a girl, but his name had ticked off many.
The next day Harley was dressed in a boy's clothing much to his discomfort after wearing dresses and blouses for so long, but the news had spread far and wide; everyone in the school saw him as a freak who cross-dresses. He was bullied and called names at school, which dampened his personality. His parents provided little help in solving this, and so did the staffs; re-reading the shoujo manga about a bullied heroine becoming a couple with the prettiest boy made him keep going, and made his life a little more bearable.
Harley decided to start his own web idol blog when he was ten, not so long after the Digimon Incident; while Digimon gave the boy a new found hope, he wasn't brave enough at the time to actively look for ways to enter the Digital World or befriend a Digimon before it was too late. The idea to become a web idol hit Harley after he got a peculiar text message. In it was an app which turned out to be Digimon who had snuck itself into the Net when the last gateway to the Digital World had closed. They talked to each other with text messages, and soon became good friends.
It wasn't long before the Digimon knew what Harley had really wanted through the texts, and suggested to become a web idol. He got into his favourite dresses and took a photo of himself, knowing the perfect angle and posture to take from the little tips from his father and the hundreds of images he had to take and pose for the online clothing shop; he just had to make sure his face wasn't visible, in case people recognized him. He used the pen name Quiri from Daiquiri, a cocktail which was a major drink from a shoujo manga he loved... since he couldn't exactly use his real name in fear of people judging him again.
The blog was a huge success, gaining popularity in a short time, and Harley eventually found himself taking photos of places he went to, things he eat and attire he wears, commenting and uploading them on his blog. The more he did so, the stronger his escapism grew, often going to his blog and dressing up as a refuge from reality.
Quiri started to hate his real name, Harley, as it held bitter memories of the past as well as the fact that it was a name that was binding him to reality. It came to a point where he introduced himself as Quiri to everyone, eventually to the point where only his parents would call him by his real name. They were happy for him to have found a place in the society, and eventually gave in to calling him Quiri too.
In the current day, the thirteen-year-old Quiri has no problem posting images of himself, face and all. His personality also grew to be bolder than before; once he accepted the fact that he wished to live for himself and himself alone, it was easy to shrug off the past and start anew, as Quiri. When things were rough, he had his partner Digimon who was now able to materialize with the aid of the D-Hack App that appeared on his phone when the rumours of Digimon being sighted once more started going around.

Appearance: Dracomon
Personality: Dracomon is a fight first ask questions later sort of boy. He doesn't like to be pushed around and is very vocal about what he likes and dislikes. Despite all that, he does have a soft spot. He doesn't like the idea of killing (though he will if he has to) or harming others for no reason. He will defend those weaker than him, though not without question. After all, if they are at fault, he shouldn't bother.
He still has a lot to learn and is a bit resistant to change. He has a fear of being alone and will latch onto people from time to time to travel with if even for a few days. Not that he'll admit to them; all he is wanting was a break from the quiet and his own thoughts. He doesn't want to be seen as weak, after all. Because weakness can get a Digimon killed real fast.

Name: Katsura Ise
Alias: Cat (originally invented as a means to bully her, she eventually learned to accept it. Today Katsura reacts on "Cat" as if it was her real name)
Gender: Female
Age: 14
Skills/Talents:
Appearance: Cat is a petite scrawny girl standing nearly 5 feet tall. Underneath her clothes she has several scars and bruises dating back from before she knew how to hide. Her hair is neatly groomed and well kept but no longer with a bow in the back. Cat doesn't have much clothes to choose from, for this reason she is usually seen wearing her old Shibuki High School uniform.
She has personally modified her uniform as needed, some of the older strings are amateurish but the newest looks tailored. Her default facial expression is shown above. Unless she is putting on her fake smile, this is the most likely facial expression people will see.
She has an uncanny lack of reaction to most things, even her ability to appear nice and friendly doesn't change that she often has no idea what to feel about a situation. She has a tendency to smile at inappropriate times due to lack of situational awareness but she is coming along. Her small black diary is tied to a rope at a belt around her waist, usually to the side.
Personality: Cat is unstable at best, years of abuse has made her near incapable of trusting anyone, especially her father. She timidly shuts down her emotions and hides them away in her diary, which is where her true personality is revealed. She has concluded that violence is normal and has yet to show concern for anyone, even herself. Initially, Cat was afraid of her father but over time, Cat is slowly gaining the will to fight back, partly by projecting into her belongings. She is extremely possessive and shy, and doesn’t allows anyone to touch her belongings for as long as a second. If someone touches her things without permission, she’ll lash out with everything she got without any self-preservation whatsoever.
While it’s tempting to say that she has gained courage, she’s well aware of her own limitations often to the point of harshly underestimating herself. When threatened without an obvious easy way to overcome a challenge, she’ll close down and hide rather than standing her ground unless her belongings are in danger. Though she can pretend to be nice and friendly almost at will, it is rarely more than skin deep. When left alone she’s relatively normal, only a little elusive and socially awkward, ironically Cat is lonely by nature. She constantly wishes that she would disappear into a place where no one will ever find her.
History: Cat's childhood has been one big struggle, she grew up alone with her dad and had never known her mother nor cared about learning about her. Cat has grown up in poverty mostly as result of her father's drinking problem. With her father not being around to care about her with even basic things, Cat has mastered most domestic work at a very young age. When her father is intoxicated, he tends to be violent towards everyone.
Unfortunately for Cat, she is the only other resident in the house and is therefore hit the most (quite literally). To work around this, Cat has trained in the act of stealth for the sole purpose of avoiding her father and the dangers around Greater Shibuya. Since she was 10, Cat had often sneaked out when her father isn't looking preferring the unpredictability of the neighborhood over an almost guaranteed letdown. By 12, she knows the way around the Greater Shibuya and can safely travel even Udagawa Back Streets using her stealth but is also emotionally shut.
She knows that acting weak and helpless will only make things worse, which is why she smiles regardless of her emotions towards everyone she meets who doesn't outright antagonize Cat, her father being the only exception. Whenever Cat's father is around, she retains a defeated expression and hasn't reacted to his abuse since she was 12. While Cat doesn't think the abuse will ever stop, she often dreams to escape and never come back. In her teenage years, Cat has slowly but steadily come the conclusion that she should do something about the abuse herself for it to stop.

Species: BlackTailmon
Gender: Female
Appearance: BlackTailmon
Skills:
Personality: BlackTailmon, is above all, extremely loyal to her partner. No matter which form she takes, she will do anything to cheer up her partner and making a good harmless joke. BlackTailmon won't ever do anything to hurt her partner no matter her level. If you're not a threat, she's completely harmless and might encourage you to socialize with her partner. As she evolves, she becomes increasingly protective of her partner, taking a rapidly larger delight in defending her partner from anything considered a threat.
While admirable, it's her obsession with being the guardian rather than merely partner that prevents her from achieving a regular Tailmon form, settling on a darker path. Until Child level, her only concern is to make her partner happy with everything available though a belly rub is a close second priority. As a Plotmon, she is more confident and determined to keep her partner safe the best she can.
As a BlackTailmon, she starts taking a more proactive role by not only coming to aid her partner, but preventing danger in appearing, attacking anyone that threatens her partner.
As Meicrackmon, she's confident and mature. No longer just protective, she's motherly towards her partner. By now, she's no longer content with just retaliating. She will eradicate anything that she can rationalize as a danger, though she could never go against her partner's will.
As a Mastemon, she has gained a sadistic sense of humour when it comes to fighting; she's not above stalling an already forgone victory for the sake of vengeance or using drastic methods when a peaceful way would be easier.
As far as BlackTailmon is concerned, if you antagonize her partner, only the cruellest punishments are sufficient. BlackTailmon doesn't socialize well with other Digimon; most dark Digimon either dismiss her for not being truly evil or are labelled as a potential threat in advance. Good Digimon believe she takes her protector role too far and are concerned about how BlackTailmon would react should she fail to protect her partner.

Name: Tanaka Hirano
Gender: Male
Age: 11
Appearance: Tanaka is a relatively short boy, standing at only about five foot and five inches, weighing a measly one hundred and fifteen pounds. This young man is of a Caucasian nature, though he is slightly tanned. He has large brown eyes that can be quite expressive. He has short black hair that reaches down to about the middle of his neck and keeps it rather messy and spiky. His nose is small and pointed, while he has slightly larger than normal ears that make him stand out slightly. He has decent musculature that shows he does take care of himself well enough.
Clothing wise on his feet, he wears simple white tennis shoes with white athletic socks. Further up, he wears simple underpants with a pair of black jeans atop them that. Going up further, he has a red t-shirt that is slightly longer than his abdomen and as such bunches up because of how he wears the shirt. On top of that he wears a button up jacket with long sleeves that he tends to keep rolled up. The jacket has three buttons and a collar snap, something akin to a school uniform.
Personality: Tanaka is a relatively happy-go-lucky youth, always wanting to be the best at what he does. He strives to be the best and as such, he can seem a bit eager to get involved in situations that he might not be suited for. Tanaka likes to fight; some would even call him a bit of a battle maniac. He puts his all into it, whether it is in the form of him fighting or using his Digimon to battle.
Tanaka believes that if you fight, you can get to the true heart of the situation when words seem to fail. Tanaka likes to talk to people and finds himself eager to want to make friends at all times. If someone dislikes him, Tanaka tends to go out of his way to try to become friends with them. Tanaka only recently reached the age of eleven so he is not exactly ‘slick’ when it comes to girls; still quite nervous around them, if he has a crush on them or if they are especially pretty.
Which tends to make him look like a bit of an idiot. When it comes to those that have found themselves worthy of the title ‘enemy’, Tanaka is ruthless. He shows no mercy and tries to stop them from whatever it is they do at all costs. To anyone lucky enough to be called a rival by Tanaka, he is super nice… but also super annoying in that he will always try to better himself against them in one way or another. When it comes to Digimon in general, Tanaka is friendly towards them and wants to simply spend time with them or train his partner with them, to help everyone in the long run.
History: Tanaka was born in the prefecture of Kagoshima in Japan; he was born to a relatively small household. It was always really Tanaka and his parents, though they were both quite busy for most of his young life with their jobs though they tried to make time as much as they could for him. His life was relatively simple, though from a young age he found himself wanting to study multiple forms of martial arts and was soon enrolled in a school for Kenjutsu, a school for Jujitsu and a school for Karate.
Though his normal studies did take a slight drop off due to being in three martial arts schools, he always made time to keep a passing grade… if just barely. While he always found time for school, he could not always say the same for his parents with him. He often was home alone, left with money for dinner or the like to fend for himself.
He often found himself either doing his homework or practicing one or multiple of his recent martial arts lessons. He also had an active imagination, always imagining a world full of monsters that he could just roam since he was alone anyways. This was more or less his daily life, seeing his family maybe once a week, for the majority of his young life. Shortly after his eleventh birthday, however, he was suddenly sucked into a large digital advertisement, bringing him to a strange world…

Appearance: Alraumon
Skills:
Personality: Alraumon is an excessively vain Digimon, very concerned about her appearance above almost everything else. She takes a great deal of pride in having attractive forms and despises anybody who suggests that she doesn’t or somehow threatens her appearance. She also tends to judge others by their appearances and generally lacks the tact to conceal her disdain for less aesthetic Digimon or humans.
Indeed, she can often be quite critical and demeaning of those around her, taking every opportunity to point out their deficiencies in terms of appearance or otherwise, with the most frequent target of her sharp tongue being her partner. She is very hard to impress and is likely to pay little regard to the achievements of others while still reveling in any successes she has herself. She is also incredibly reluctant to ever admit any weakness, error or failing on her own part, stubbornly refusing to accept any aid unless it is made clear that she does not actually need it.
Despite this, Alraumon does have a softer side. Most of her insults are not truly meant to be cruel; she simply speaks her mind and fails to consider that others might be genuinely hurt by her words. When this is brought to her attention, she is usually quite remorseful and, despite her pride, will generally attempt to make amends. She is also quite protective of her friends and will be the first to leap to the defence of her Tamer if needed.
