Purdue Extension-Wabash County
Happy October Everyone,
Fall is here, the leaves are changing and farmers are working to get crops in. The harvest has been varied, but it is good to see the tractors and combines running. Please use caution on the roads when operators are driving their equipment. September was very dry, except the with moisture we got from hurricane Helene the last week of the month. Apples are ripening and I even got to try my first persimmon.
ANR programing was all over the place this past month. We completed our annual Ag Expo, I taught river health out on the Wabash River, seed saving and winterizing your garden were some other programs. October is full of programing for both youth and adults, if you'd like to meet or are heading into the Extension Office, shoot me an email or call ahead as I am in and out every day.
If you have any questions about upcoming programming or Ag questions in general, feel free to reach out to the Extension Office. Phone: 260-563-0661 (Ext 1408) or emailing me directly at gschortg@purdue.edu
Best Wishes,
